You sit up and lean over to the bag. It's just out of your reach, but you're very close.
Your movement disturbs some bags and they gently slide into the space that you once took up. You are pushed forward a little and the bag enters the zone of your reach.
Now you are close enough to snap at the thing, what do you want to do now?
He goes for it. Trying not to make himself to noticeable of course.

He gives an irritated s******. "I was fearing that I'd have to dither around in this place but I just realised, nothing's stopping me. You go ahead kid, you get lucky you follow the westward Adventurer's Road. There's hardly anyone at the end of it so if you ask around you'll find me."
He stomps at the ground irritably. "Alright then, to business. I've lost a golden ring with runes. That's all you need to know. I doubt in a backwater town like this there'll be much jewellery of that description that's made of real gold. Rather than the fakes that charlatan over there is trying to sell," he scoffs, tossing his head in the direction of the eastern vendor with the artistic ornaments and such.
With another stomp he begins to move off.

You have a few options. Your stock of firewood is small but adequate for a few more hours. The remains of your barrier are strewn across the ground outside, but will be cold and frosty and won't be able to keep a fire going on their own.

You stand in the marketplace of Elvenor. People bustle past in the morning rush-hour to get to work, crowding in closely in comparison to the wide open space of the sky that you're used to sharing with only Raven.
Your griffin sits by you, looking clearly uncomfortable in the claustrophobic city. Your fate is yet to be chosen, but you know that there are plenty of options awaiting you. What will be your first step?
He gives an irritated snigger. "I was fearing that I'd have to dither around in this place but I just realised, nothing's stopping me. You go ahead kid, you get lucky you follow the westward Adventurer's Road. There's hardly anyone at the end of it so if you ask around you'll find me."

(Sorry, I've forgotten a bit since we last did this. Was there some form of telecommunication going on between familiar and player?)
The dwarf scanned over the skins, flipping them over and making sure of their quality. "Seems to be all okay. Four average and two low - I reckon we could make the price about 18G pieces, what do you say?"
Numbat says nothing, leaving the haggling up to you.
(Yes young familiars could use telepathy to their bonded Higher Creature but older ones did something different that I can't remember.)
"Twenty gold pieces," Asteria ammends, "and I am willing to trade favors for gold."
The vendor frowns, looking at the two of you with a calculating stare. "What was it you found?"
Winter blanket, coin pouch and 10G added to inventory
I think about what I should say. I decide giving ambiguous answers won't help much. "Well...we found this strange magical ring. When I touched it, I got pins and needles and was more aware. But when I stopped touching it I almost felt claustrophobic. I was hoping your alchemist client might know something about it," I say. I trusted the dwarf somewhat, but I was kind of worried a thief would overhear. But that's just me being paranoid.

I look at Raven, asking her with my eyes do you want to fly instead of pushing through this crowd? I can tell she does because she looks uncomfortable. I get on her back and hold on tight as she takes off. I scan the area for a safe place to land without stepping on other Elves.

You slowly lean over and bite onto the food bag. Not a great taste, but the food should be better. With some effort you pull it closer to yourself. Some of the items of food spill out onto the floor but now you can easily munch through the contents.
You notice the flicker of torchlight outside, drifting over the cover on the cart. Hoofsteps trot by the party of goblins, but you can't see out.

(Think older ones just spoke - oops, seem to have had Crimson doing that already... shall we just go with speech no matter what stage they're at to make it simpler?)
The trader shakes her head. "19G and we have a deal. We've got plenty of hands to spare and don't have any odd-jobs for the passing adventurer."
