I just want to use the idea of skill points and the one-on-one style

But the issue is, you would be narrating the roleplay not being part of it. If you want to join the waitinglist that's fine.
If you want to make a Warrior roleplay, but use my skills, please discuss it with me in private message, but I would rather my plot was not taken. All games are one-on-one though.. .w.
