"A good rest will do us both some good. You're right, probably better if we decide about the ring in the morning," he says, yawning and scratching a spot behind his ear.

Whatever magical properties the ring possesses, the only things that are going to reveal them are through experimentation or learning from others. Visiting one of the massive elven libraries might be an idea - it's hard to forget about them in Elvenor where they're practically round every corner in the centre of the city.

You make it to the aeries, the only place where all griffins can fly free in the city. The mighty stonewood trees of legend stand tall as they have for centuries, the aeries carved out of their rock-like bark. Nests dot the cavities in the trees and griffins fly back and forth among them.

(Yep, sounds good to me)

The trader smiles and thanks you back, dropping a pouch onto the counter and taking your skins.

Parted with [6] skins

Small gold pouch and 19G added to inventory

As you leave the shop, Numbat rubs his hands together. "That should get us a decent way," he says cheerily. "There'll be other shops who need extra hands though, and I'm sure we could get more gold from that. Dwarves usually tend to stick to gold, so I don't think we'll be able to work for supplies. We'll have to get gold first and buy them with that."

The small creatures look around, getting a good idea of what a proper town looks like. They still look wary, but they trust you enough to stay.

(Great.)

"Right let's go find a place to get more gold. I want to play it safe in case of more drawf fees," Asteria explains taking the bag of gold.

When first starting out living in the wilds, it usually is best to be as prepared as possible as you learn the tricks of the trade. Even experts need to do so sometimes.

The fire picks up again and you feel a little warmth seep into your bones. It isn't too cold, so as long as you have your fire going you don't expect that you'll end up perishing out here. But maybe it would be for the best to be ready for the next time the sun sets.

(No problem!)
The crowds aren't that bad, but it just means travelling will be slower than it would be normally. You can see various openings that you could take if you wished. It all depends on where you want to go.

Raven flicks her tail, looking up at you with big blue eyes. "At least it's sunny," she says cheerily. It's a little cold, but nothing you aren't used to from spending so much of your time flying around together.

"Atleast it IS sunny." I wander around absently, but aware of all of the people around me.

Feeling full but with bits of the questionable food stuck in your teeth, your exhaustion takes over and you fall asleep.

You awake, refreshed and feeling much stronger than you have in some time, to a feeling of bitter cold. The cart has stopped and most of the bags have been taken out of the cart. The cover over the cart flaps slightly in the wind, giving you a view of the outside: bright white light, from the looks of it. You must have gotten used to the dark in the last while.

He blinks blearily at the lighta, then tries tp warm up a litrle with a small fire in his hand. Not thatll do anythong but warm that part of him up. But still.

"Well, we're here." I say and pat his back. "Now you can finally sleep. Do you want me to stay here a bit before I leave?" I rub the straps of my pack, thinking about going to an inn for the night.

(Do elves just drop off their griffins at the aeries?)

"Seems like a good idea. You know how mad they are about hoarding gold," if you could see under his hood, you reckon he'd be rolling his. "Where do you want to find work?"

"Alright, where are we heading?" she says, getting onto her feet. She preens one of her wings before fluttering them out anxiously. "Have we anything to get anywhere?"

Well, with practice comes skill. Your fire is stronger than when you first started using it and soon you've warmed yourself up nicely.

Except a singing smell now reaches your nose. It isn't the cart - you would know if it was - but without further inspection you have no idea what it is.

(Most commonly. There are few inns that will provide for griffins when the city has its famed aeries within an easy walking distance, and in any case Brazentalons will be fed and will have a place to sleep free of charge)

He butts your side with a cheerful expression. "You don't have to if you don't want to. I'll just fly to my roost's keep and be back here in the morning, if you like."

With gold, you could get a room for the night and go to sleep right after. Otherwise you would have to complete a favour, so you've got that benefit.
