It isn't the cart - you would know if it was - but without further inspection you have no idea what it is.

HE tries to identify the directin of the smell. Hping it's not his clothes on fire.

"Alright, where are we heading?" she says, getting onto her feet. She preens one of her wings before fluttering them out anxiously. "Have we anything to get anywhere?"

You merge in with the crowds of elves, just walking along. You pass out of the vibrant marketplace and onto a small street with a few people walking by. Shops line the sides of the alley with various goods displayed in windows and in shelves and counters against the walls.

Raven's talons tap on the cobbles as you pass under lines of washing and coloured, festive banners that have been put up. Reds and golds and greens stand out against the blue sky and the sun casts silhouettes on the ground.

Raven looks in shop windows curiously before something catches her interest. She goes over to a board with various bits of paper pinned to it and beckons you over with a flick of her tail.

"Nice. A bit of exploring doesn't sound so bad... just as long as it doesn't get any busier," she chirps.

"The mines wouldn't be a bad place to head first, if you're up to the kind of work they expect from you," Numbat shrugs, walking a little ways over to a path between two buildings that leads toward the nearby mountains. "There'll be other jobs around, but it's all I can think of offhand."

Shootingstar looks dubious and whinnies quietly. Crimson pipes up: "If you two are going down there, Shootingstar would rather wait for us outside."

"I have no desire to go to the mines," Asteria replies, "let's see what we can do above ground okay?"

Your familiar hugs you back. "You too. See you tomorrow."

He waves a wing in farewell before flying off, soaring up toward the massive stonewood trees and through the colourful festive banners that are being put up among the branches.

As you walk through the city in search of an inn, you are greeted by more colourful streamers hung from buildings for the festive season. There is an overall merry feeling in the streets of Elvenor as the best time of Chillsky.

You come across 'The Golden Candle Inn'. Being in the upper areas of Elvenor, getting a room may take more effort than a cheaper inn in the lower areas of the city. But the room will be better here, and you will be provided with nicer services.
