I based him off of a plant called creeping myrtle (or common periwinkle), a flowering vine that grows in the shade and stays green year-round. Here where I live, spring always had as much snow as rain, and it seemed like the seasons were fighting for control all the way up until summer. xD But I remember the vines growing all around our house peeking out through the snow with green leaves and tiny purple flowers, beautiful little reminders of warm weather to come. :)

Based this off of how we always have stormy looking skies punctuated by bright blue! (and the fact that at this point our plants start to die immediately because it gets really hot here)

It seems like most people think of flowers or the sky when they think of spring, but for me I always think of fruit! :)
There are plenty of seasonal spring fruits, but in this case I chose the fig.
I think they make a beautiful Aeridini, and are just a gorgeous fruit overall.
I think I may be tempted to make other fruit themed Aeris in the future, because so many work so well, haha.
