I have updated the front post with the tweaked lineart. Please keep in mind we're going to be adjusting the adult males fins some, I just wanted to share with you some of the major tweaks we have done so far.
Whenever the lineart is in the final form I will be creating a mutation/gene contest for them like I did the Morkko. :)

Still a bit too friendly looking for me, I think some nice, sharp, curving fangs/tusks coming standard with the males at least would be better. True, this is a feature normally only seen on musk deer but the effect is startling and could be beneficial on this species. Since you're using the smaller heads and cutsy style, this would even out that first impression.
Also, since the hind legs have been eliminated, they and other legless varieties shouldn't show up in land fights on the map, only in areas where there are coasts, lakes or streams...this is what makes sense, they are limited to the water so they should only fight in the water.

oh darn it, I was in love with the first revamp babies (THEY WERE JUST SOOO CUTE!!), not the biggest fan of the update, but I'll work with it.
Besides that... the Adults are looking FANTASTIC! loving it!

I agree with Nabiki, they are suppose to be scary so they should have fangs or long curved teeth.

Awesomesauce.
Other comments: Several people have advocated fangs, and at first I thought those might be a good idea, but now I really don't think adding fangs would be so great. The adults' faces are so expressive as they are, it would be easy for all but the tiniest fangs to mess up their look. And really tiny fangs would be hard to see, so why bother?
The stallion in particular has a wonderful expression. True, he isn't smiling, but he looks like he could smile at any moment: "Just not for the likes of you, peasant!" Very regal. Yes, I'm gonna miss the current Kelpari stallion's smug "Yeah, uh-huh, I'm all that!" smile, but one can't have everything.
I would state that this is "My two cents'," but I really think I'm up to at least a dime by now. ;)
