Ember turned to face him, her red eyes glinting coldly. "I do unfortunately, I am the daughter of a highly respected member of the Royal Court, her name is Scarlet."

Snake shivered. He knew her. He would probably be hunted down by her. Sage stayed asleep.

Ember began grooming her paw. She had various scars shaped like snake bites and claw slashes all over her body. For someone so young not yet an adolescent, it was sad.

Snake hung his head. He looked at Sage from the corner of his eyes.

Ember gazed once again up at the sky.
