He looks up at you and gives a happy whinny, butting your leg affectionately.
You move through the square, checking shop windows. Eventually you discover a kind of notice board by a well which has three notes that jump out to you. Generally, the first is asking for a water carrier; the second wants a farmhand; and the third needs help with fishing.

Your arms are still too constricted to be dextrous enough to undo the ropes. Yet. You don't feel tired from using your magic, so you'll have time to have an experimental crash course in controlling fire rather than just creating it as you have so far. Then you'll be able to make sure the flames only burn away enough of the ropes to make them loose and not set yourself on fire.

"Thought it might be something like that," Raven chirped, eying the board as if to match your translation to the words for reading in the future. "I like the idea of flying. But just how long are we flying for? There's only so long I can carry you for, seen as I'm not fully grown yet. If we get breaks then we should be fine."

She smiles faintly. "At least you've been taught proper manners. We'll have to make do with that - I suppose I could give you a room. I need you to serve tables - go into the kitchens and ask for Thos, he'll sort you out." Disinterested once more, she leans back against the wall, looking past you across the room as if you aren't there.
"Well, if you want to," Agdan says grimly. "If I were you, I'd be getting back into a city pronto."
Torgdan punches his brother in the shoulder. "What he means to say is just watch your time and the weather carefully. The wise man has wisdom but no-one can predict nature."
Skywhisper nods thoughtfully.
(Exams nearly over, I'll be posting more often now! Yippee!)
"Do you know the location of the nearest city from here?" I ask, feeling somewhat uncomfortable from asking them so many questions.

And that's what hel be doing. Not like he has any time restricitons..
When first starting out living in the wilds, it usually is best to be as prepared as possible as you learn the tricks of the trade. Even experts need to do so sometimes.
The fire picks up again and you feel a little warmth seep into your bones. It isn't too cold, so as long as you have your fire going you don't expect that you'll end up perishing out here. But maybe it would be for the best to be ready for the next time the sun sets.
Delirious sighs and quietly tells herself that she will have to make it to a town before the sun sets tomorrow. She shifts and looks outside to try and determine if she wants to get up and get moving early on in the morning.

"Late morning to midday. I am hoping they give breaks, but there is only one way to find out!" I head to the barracks.

"Should we try the first job," I ask them, "if we do either the third or first job I want you two puppies out of the way so you don't get wet okay?"
She smiles faintly. "At least you've been taught proper manners. We'll have to make do with that - I suppose I could give you a room. I noticed that she didn't tell me where the kitchen was but didn't bother her anymore. I walk away and observe the bustling from aside. I watch the waiters to see where there were getting the food. I then go into the kitchen and say, " Is Thos here? I'm here to serve tables for a favor?"
