Grafdur twirls his moustache and makes a clicking noise. "I'd say the Adventurer's Crossroads. A day and a bit as the crow flies. Griffin, rather."
Skywhisper nods in agreement. "I think we could make it by then, definitely."
(Lucky you xD Glad to be having you back)

You practice controlling your fire by creating your own exercises. They're probably not the most refined ones, but you feel fairly confident that you can lead a small fire to where you want it to burn.
Do you wish to practice more or get the job done?

Deep blue hues seep up from the horizon into the sky, so the sun hasn't had a chance to warm up the land yet. You could go now, but you'll need to find some way of preventing the cold from getting to you without a fire. Galloping could do, but you won't be able to keep it up for too long. Depends whether you want a chance to improve your stamina or not.

Raven nods, trotting after you.
The gates to the barracks are open and a few guards stand by them. They check you over as you enter before allowing you and your griffin to pass through.
Soldiers perform drills around you, all doing so beside their griffins. There are no obvious indications of where you're supposed to go, but you see a little irregular band of higher creatures a little way off, standing out of place with their familiars.

"Water carrying doesn't sound too bad. Good exercise," Numbat muses.
Crimson and Emberpaw nod. Your pup yips, half humourously and half uneasily: "Alright. I'm not going anywhere near that river, I don't need warned twice." Emberpaw nods energetically.
You read the note more thoroughly:
Water carriers needed. Gold payed per hour worked. Go to the mansion on the hill for more details.
It seems more like a vague, hastily scribbled reminder. But a job nonetheless.

Probably for the best. From the way her employees are around her, it's doubtful she would behave any better than she was doing a few moments ago.
It doesn't take you long to figure out where the kitchen is seen as you know what you're looking for. You trail a waiter into a warm, delicious smelling room full of people doing everything from baking to boiling.
A cook hears your question and looks up from her work, yelling across her counter: "Thos! Get yourself over here, we've got another server!"
A man appears out of nowhere, dusting his hands on his servers' overalls and giving you a half grin. "You made it through Maiden's inspection, congratulations! Few people we could actually do with around here make it that far." He has a sparkle of humour in his eyes, but his tone sounds a bit bitter and irritated. "Anyway. Come with me, let me get you some uncomfortable and unnecessary overalls of your own and I'll get you caught up to speed."
He makes his way deeper into the kitchen, looking over his shoulder to make sure you're following.

"Let's go to the mansion on the hill then," Asteria rubs Crimson's head, "We could have the others help and you could lead the way back to the mansion."
