An elf with a Wyvern in tow looks over and nods. "So are we. We've been waiting here for a while... we were told to just stay put, but I think we should go and find the general ourselves," she says, rolling her eyes.
Another elf shakes his head. "And we've been telling her not to move! We'll only catch trouble by wandering around this place."
Raven chirrups, swishing her tail and glancing around.
"I guess I will wait here with you" I say. I take a quick look around.
(No worries, got a sense of deja vu for a second xD)
The dwarves thank you again for saving Bramdur, and the he is encouraged to shake your hand and thank you himself.
"Good luck now. And remember, you'll always have favour with our caravan!" Grafdur says, opening the door to ladder room for you.
(Pff, I'm surprised I said the same thing actually)
I wave them goodbye and climb out, looking back to see if Skywhisper is following me, which he probably is.
Deep blue hues seep up from the horizon into the sky, so the sun hasn't had a chance to warm up the land yet. You could go now, but you'll need to find some way of preventing the cold from getting to you without a fire. Galloping could do, but you won't be able to keep it up for too long. Depends whether you want a chance to improve your stamina or not.
Delirious rolls out of her little hole in the ground after attempting to put out the fire and lays silently on the ground for a minute, questioning her life choices while looking at the rather pretty sky. Eventually, she rolls up onto her feet, double checks she has everything, and heads off to where she'd left the Yeti the previous night at a nice galloping pace.

The pups go on for a little way before clearly looking lost.
"Um... I don't suppose you know where the mansion is?" Crimson asks hesitantly. Shootingstar huffs, rolling his eyes.

The two who had been playing cards are gone by the time you finish. No-one but the dwarf and Brazentalons know about the ring, so hopefully you'll be fine.
You have to watch not to get bumped into, but through the many people you see a table the other waiters seem to be visiting frequently. A large counter which has steaming dishes placed on and taken off of soon after is close to the door.
You pick up a tray with a few plates on it. They wobble precariously until you get a better grip. A little tag with an elven rune scratched into it is some hint as to which table pairs the mark - now you just have to find it.

You grab the sack of food and a dull dagger that must have been dropped earlier.
5 edible things and dull dagger added to inventory
Your feet sink into ankle-deep snow and snowflakes fall onto your hair. You almost stumble and fall into the deep snow but regain your footing.
You're surrounded by goblin-sized tents, closed up against the snow. A fire burns away in the centre and a single guard stands, facing out from the camp and huddled against the cold. You don't feel it as much because of the passive fire magic coursing in your veins, but you still feel it.

The group mutter among themselves for a few minutes before a tall, lightly armoured elf makes his way toward you. The stripes of what you can only assume signifies a high ranking officer are sewn into his tunic.
"Candidates for the patrol, are you?" he snorts, looking you all over a little disdainfully. "Well, we'll see how you do. I'll be blunt: we'll be flying for hours and we'll only stop to investigate areas of interest. If you can't keep up, you'll be left behind. 5G is in it for you if you're still with us by the end. If this isn't for you, leave now and don't waste my time."
He glares in particular at an elf with a scrawny griffin. He shuffles away, muttering something, before disappearing.

They wave back, wishing you good luck.
You lurch to the side as the cart trundles along, regaining your footing to see Skywhisper crawl out of the hatch and close it behind him.
"Well, that wasn't as bad as I'd expected," he shrugs. He comes over to you, stooping down so you can get onto his back. "Shall we head?"
Overall, you figure you handled the situation quite well. You feel a little pride in your chest that you made a difference to this family.

Contemplating your life with the power of hindsight, you wonder about the mysterious ways in which the world works as the sky blends together at the horizon.

You don't see anything missing, and satisfied you trot off into the waning night. You leave hoofprints in the frost as you make your way back to the yeti, your hooves thudding into the ground as the wind whips past you, almost whispering in your ears as your air magic thrums in your veins.
You gallop by the riverside, starting to feel out of breath. Eventually you are forced to stop, but you've made good time. You hear scuffling up ahead from the water in no time, seeing the shadow of the yeti against the moonlight.
