Seeing that the rest of you are staying, the officer grunts and marches off, saying over his shoulder: "Come on. You all need a few things. Oh, and if you don't keep up, you need to hand them back. If you don't," he chuckles. "You'll have a bit of trouble on your hands, let me tell you."
Your group glances among one another before the others trail after him.
"That is understandable." I say as I walk after the officer.
Delirious mutters as she looks over the way the yeti wanted to go, trying to determine the terrain and trying to remember what could possibly be in that direction.
Your party makes their way uphill to the slopes of the mountains, looking around for any rooves that rise above the rest to hint at a large mansion-sized house. You can't see anything from the ground though, it's no use. This town was built haphazardly with winding roads and townhouses all over the place in your line of sight.
"We'll never find it like this," Numbat muses, rubbing the back of his neck and wincing. "Either this mansion isn't as big as it sounds or we're looking in completely the wrong place."
"Let's go back into town and ask directions," Asteria agrees.
The servers, unfortunately for you, seem to be used to their trade and know which table has which rune on instinct.
But while going round tables looking for the matching mark you do notice that each table has a little card in the centre with runes on. You go about tables checking these cards until you find one that looks like yours - a line with an angled hook at the top. It seems pretty similar anyway.
I check the other tables first, glancing at that table's customers every now and then. I serve it to the table that matches the rune the best.

Right now, all you can see are rolling fields of snow. Nothing marks itself out as being a shelter of some kind and you can see no signs of civilisation.

Well, it seems to be north, from what you can remember. It's still night, but you can see the distant, rough outline of the mountains of the northern territories silhouetted by the edge of the rising sun. The yeti looks wistfully at them, huffing a little cloud of water vapour into the cold air.

The elf half-turns, hearing your words. "Good! The more you understand, the easier my babysitting job is."
He leads you all to a room lined with lockers. Opening one with a metallic creak, he steps back to let you all see some basic leather apparel with insignias of Elvenor. "One size fits all," he grunts. The dwarf in the group looks dubious at the clothing, but says nothing. "Sets in every locker. Take them out and put them on you and your familiar, and meet me at the door when you're finished."

You head back to the market square you started off in. You almost get lost a couple of times, but the two pups are able to track your way back.
There are few people around, just some hurried dwarves off to get things for their midday meals.

From here you can maybe see two tables along in every direction - any further and there are just too many people or other things in the way. But as far as you can see, this same table is the rune you're looking for.
A woman at that table has paused in conversation and looks at you with a warm smile. "I think that's what we ordered, honey. Festive special for four?"
