"Alpha to be fair she should have to beat me in a fight to get this position. That is how wolf Hierarchy works. Anyone is allowed to challenge anyone for a position. If i'm demoted I will challenge Mimosa in a fight. Mimosa is a hunter and I am a fighter, I would win most likely. It's nothing against you Alpha but I believe I deserve to be beta." Oktavian sits down and looks at her paws after her speech. Mimosa is quiet, not saying anything.

I flick my tail and think "you do have that right, but I want to hear Mimosa's opinion on this too." I look towards her allowing her to have her say I can't stop oktavian from fighting Mimosa but if Mimosa wants to be beta she'll have to defend herself too I can't do that if she won't than Oktavian will be the better choice.

I nod in acknowledgment "if that's your choice Mimosa, I can't defend for you and the pack will need a strong beta. Oktavian you may assume the beta position. You will still train Mimosa though, you have many important skills she can use and learn with her enthusiasim and quick movments she'll be able to adapt them to useful affects as well." I try to make it clear that this will be the final decision unless someone decides to challenge the other to a fight.
