Alternating colors for the Ryori Orbs <3

So I had this idea hit me while we were discussing bees in region chat the other day. How about a bee stinger mutation for the lunemara? I don't think I illustrated it very well, but I tried to take my cues a bit from the firefly mutation. The section under the red striping (blending? I can't really do that but it might/might not help the transition) is supposed to be hair/fur free and more like an exoskeleton, that's what I saw when I looked up bees. (Or rather, less hair. But I think that trying to draw sparse fur would be much harder than just making it smooth?)

But yeah. It could go in mutation two with firefly and garland. :)

I'd like to see bone covered claws for the vulnyx. They would be slightly longer than usual, and sharper. I think that's be pretty awesome looking.

There can be a montly mutations called Gemstones/Birthstones
Examples:
Jan.=Garnet
Feb.=Amethyst
March=Aquamarine
April=Diamond
May=Emerald
June=Pearl
July=Ruby
August=Peridot
Sept.=Sapphire
Oct.=Pink Tourmaline/ Opal <3
Nov=Topaz
Dec.=Blue Topaz/ turquoise

Other Gemstones:
Jade
Onyx/Jet
Lapis Lazuli

They could appear imbedded in their fur, they could have armor with the gems, or jewelry with them in. Jewelry head dress, tiara, necklaces, ext.

Well I'm an idiot and can't read, so I made gene and mutation for the Lunemara for the upcoming Spring Fest, but then noticed that we could only do certain pets. .-.

(Alos can't tel lthere is already a thread for this. >.>;) Whoops.

So~ I'll just dump them here. :p Then get to work on the ones I shoulda been doing. XD

I should be thinking about genes and mutations for the Official Contest... but I'm not. I'm thinking about Lunemara butts.


Featherbutt here is inspired by clearwing moths, such as this guy:

Don't have to be a bird to have feathers on your butt, turns out.


Spikebutt, on the other hand, is inspired by the three-pronged butts of mayfly nymphs. Not enough room on the image for them to be long and sweeping and straight, so they can be long and sweeping and billowy. nbd Anatomical accuracy is not necessarily needed in pet site fantasy.

Snow-based Mutation 3 for Nytekries, similar to Whirling Snow on the Griffi and Swirling Snowflakes for the Lunemara.

(Because I want a 6-vis snowy owl Nytekrie without falling flower petals or stardust which is just weird~)

Owing to difficulties with Imgur and my desire not to take up excess space in the thread, I missed getting to post this suggestion for the Design a New Gene Official contest. Given how much work went into it, I'm suggesting it anyhow.

This is the Pal* Gene for Zolnixies. Eyes are black, Colors 1, 2, and 3 are cyan, yellow, and magenta, and the Gene is white. I created this gene because (1) I want Nixies that have it, (2) although I am showing it on the current Nixi design, I actually created it for the new Nixi and transferred the image to the old one, and (3) I want to underscore the point that Zolnixies are not foxes.

There's no point in creating a Gene that I wouldn't like.

Since the Nixies are being re-drawn, why not design the Gene for the new look?

Because they have genes called Cross Fox, Banded Stripes, etc., it does seem like they are supposed to be foxes. Therefore, this is a totally, utterly non-fox color design, to counter that impression.

And if anyone can figure out how to get rid of all that white space at the bottom of the image, please tell me!!!
