When is the cheaper version of the game expected to be released and will that one have themed pets as prizes as well?

After careful consideration, we have decided not to release a cheaper version of The Lucky Pot. We took a look at various set ups and we can't find one where the price and prizes can be in a good balance.
As you knock the price down, we have to make the Themed Pets, Avatar Items, and Titles more rare to stay balanced with the original game. Additionally, as the price gets cheaper, certain prizes are made more rare/removed for the same reason.
In the end, you end up with a game that has very very little prizes and the vast majority of the prizes are just stat philters as fillers and the price would still probably be too high for the majority of players to frequently play. Even if we reduced the price to 1/10th of the original, it would still cost 125k per entry which would still be quite high for any newer player.
I apologize for those who had hopes we would release a cheaper version, but in the end everyone would just be better off saving up for one play at 1.25m than they would 10 plays at 125k. Or, just save up and purchase the specific avatar items, the title, or pets that you want from other players.
Down the road, we have lots of ideas for a lot more collective item groups and lesser items to be in the game. A crafting and gathering system (which is 100% planned) will greatly aid in this. But until we reach that point, there just aren't really enough lesser prizes to cater to low price entries for these chance giveaway games. It goes back to the main reason we discontinued the Wheel that we used for so long.
We hope that the free play is at least a somewhat compromise as it gives everyone a chance at the full version of the game with a wide spread of prizes. We have seen many people win lots of great prizes on just that one free play so the potential is definitely there.
On a side note, we hope everyone had a happy St. Patrick's Day and I'm sure we will plan some smaller events for the upcoming Easter holiday on Sunday. =)

The reson the Wheel worked beter then this is becaus you would kill bosses in the zone and had chest you could open and they could drop a Wheel ticked as well. so there even new players could join in. (of cours you had to be a hige enough lvl for the zone) but it gave people something to do and you could earn tickeds if you could not afored to buy them. Right now the game is for people with a big bank acount (either in game but mostly real live) so maby work out a system where people can earn there entry?
like with so many kills you can earn a free try or with so many nurters (or maby with so many pets released? this could be a very good way to get rid of those unwanted cheap pets) or make it a combo so you have to have done and x amount of kills and and x amount of nuteres and then you get a free play? (i mean make them work for it for sure and if they want something they will, those bosses could not spawn fast enough afther i killed them :P)
i think with the system now a lot of people feel left out becaus they can't join into this.
this is mean as ideas that my help (with my studie when there is a problem we always need to find a way to fix it so there for the spam of ideas)

I've been disappointed with this event. The good Lucky Pot prizes seem too rare and it makes the whole thing less fun. I'm all for exclusive prizes being uncommon, but I honestly feel like I've just thrown my money away. Which hasn't been the case with previous events.
Having another essence-related event so soon after the last one, means no one has had much of a chance to regroup/restock in any way. So only those with good back-stocks are able to create pets with the time-limited trait.
Every part of this event feels like the focus is only for the richest of players (both in time, gold and/or diamonds). I'm hardly poor in any of those quotas, but I feel like everything in this event is pretty much unreachable.

I agree with Aliceheart's assessment. A way to earn plays would definitely go a long way towards making players that don't necessarily have funds for the game to be able to play and feel more included in the event and there are plenty of ways that could be incorporated that would also be beneficial to the site as whole, such as the aforementioned releasing pets.

As much as I hate to, I have to agree with the others here... For the first time ever, I feel like I've wasted money on the site. I never did with the Wheel, and I haven't with the little things like the Haunted House and Winter Wonderland. I've played just enough to fill the bonus bar, and have barely anything to show for it. A few Disruptors, which is cool, I love those, but that's it. The avatar bag only showed up twice within all those plays, which is more disappointing for me than the pets, especially with the Irish Clerical items - being mainly Irish, I was really looking forward to adding those to the wardrobe.
I don't really have any suggestions on how to possibly fix it. There's just something about the scratch card method that doesn't seem to be working out for most people. Which I think can be seen in how no one is selling the avatar items.

Just as I said with the love event I really think there should have been a way to earn festival currency to purchase a ticket to whatever game is going on (in this case it's the Lucky Pot). I agree 100% with what Alice is saying, and expressed the same during the love event (only for some users to yell at me).
I don't see how adding currency to the mini events and allowing something like nurturing to give said currency would be a lot of extra work because this should already be in the system somewhere from past festivals. I'm not a developer, so maybe I'm wrong but until it's further explained I don't see how something simple like that would add too much time and effort if that is even a concern. I was under the impression that these mini festivals are not all-out because of time and everything else going on. While this is fine I just think that these festivals aren't even fun. I really enjoy earning something and this is basically "whoever has a big bank in real life can play", like what Alice said.
I'm not saying I don't appreciate these mini events, the admins don't have to put these together at all... but at this point I would rather not have a mini "festival" and just let Krin and Fai work on important site features like the megazone, the new website and any other secret features they are planning. The week of love is one thing, and I thought it would be a one-time thing but now I feel like these mini festivals are cash grabs, to be completely honest... It doesn't feel like Sylestia. :/
EDIT: Also for my free scratch I got 2 prismatic philters. If I spent over 1 million gold (let alone 500 diamonds) on 2 prisma philters I would be so incredibly angry. I am very happy it was a free play.
EDIT 2: I also agree with Celuwen when they say no one had a chance to restock essences because this limited trait thing came too soon. While I think this feature is a nice idea... it really needs to be spread out better. I have an okay stock of my favourite species but if this will be a thing for every festival I will be a bit irked. I don't know if I am correct in saying this, but basically these limited-time trait festivals are meant to make people purchase essences with diamonds and buy out the broker... generating more diamond spending. Again a cash grab. I guess that's what I was mainly referring to when I said this earlier in this post. And yes people always have the choice to participate or not, but when I think of a "festival" I think of people getting together, helping each other out, EARNING THINGS and FUN. I'm not seeing this with the past 2 "festivals" whether they are mini or not...

There's no activities lately. There's no festival zone during the Valentines festival and none in this one either. There's nothing that make the players keep on playing Sylestia. The only reason why most people login now is to check their hatchery and keep breeding their unfinished projects. There's not much fun like it used to. There's only a site gaining money for diamonds now. Demanding MUCH diamonds to play for less prizes so players will buy more and more diamonds with real money to get a 10% chance of getting a good prize. Not a giving site that it used to be.
