Kuro was crouched down in front of you in a somewhat feral position his eyes constricted and his nose wrinkled slightly, the creature got up and faced Kuro instead and growled flicking its tail.
I jump in front of him, not wanting him to be hurt. I have a small smile on my face as I await the attacks

Kuro stands up and you can feel his tail wrap around you and pull you close as his chin rests on your head and he lets out a loud and convincing hiss. At that the creature vanishes as a wisp of smoke. " why didn't you just sleep.... it was cold" he said
