When faced with doubt, you should always count your lucky stars!

Which is exactly what my Fortune Event Design is called, Count Your Lucky Qitari!

__________Explanation Behind My Design____________
I got inspired from one of my favorite sayings and decided it would be perfect to base a Sylesti design on it.

The bright, rainbow-like color scheme represents the colors usually associated with good luck. Rainbows in particular are widely thought to be lucky. Green is an important color linked with prosperity and fortune, so I made sure to include it in my design. Coincidentally, the colors chosen each have significant meanings that go along with the saying. You wouldn't expect blue's common messages to tie in with the design, after all you usually see blue associated with sadness and negativity. But blue can also represent imagination and stability which are two things essential to living a successful life, by letting your creative horizons expand and enjoying life to it's fullest in spite of all the negatives that head your way. Blue is also a color of the sky, when it's clear and the weather is at it's most beautiful.

The stars, obviously, work along with the namesake and carry lots of meanings, the most recognizable one being-you guessed it-luck! As many know, stars give us hope for the future and guidance throughout our lives, which is why one should really count them. When the stars aren't out at night to shine brightly, the sun takes their place. Not only does the sun represent strength and happiness, but also good weather. In addition to being grateful for a life full of prosperity, naturally one would wish the same for the climate!

Even without all of the symbolism and context that went into making Count Your Lucky Qitari, I feel this has a strong Springtime vibe to it. The vivid colors and images like suns are like how we're starting to move away from the cold, dreary winter weather as spring fever makes it way into brightening up the environment.

I admit though, at the beginning my mind was blank but was soon filled with ideas on what to enter as my first ever Sylesti Design Contest entry. It was a tough decision on deciding which idea to go with, but I settled with this one. I think I did a pretty good job with it overall!

And, yes, I'm aware I got a little carried away with explaining everything in depth....

Me Lucky Charms

I saw an ad for Lucky Charms macarons on Facebook earlier and wanted to bring the idea into my fortune event designs. :)

Wish Upon A (Lucky) Star

I wanted to do something a little different, so the colours are somewhat based on a nebula.
