"If you want," she says, "Only if you catch me something to eat tho. I'm hungry."

I nod at Mossy "yes that's why whenever we see the moon clearly and when we are all together we sing to the moon." I chuckle at Rune when he squishes Mossy and answer his question "Sun was in love Rune. unfortunately, sometimes too much love can be blinding, just like too much sun. Sun felt bad for what he did to Earth and so warms it's surface hoping to make up to Moon too."

"What about the stars?" Scout ask's, tilting his head. The other pups bark in agreement at his question, begging you for another tale.

"Okay, one more tale but that's it for today." I rumble gently "One day as the oldest Wolf, the first Wolf sang to Moon and Earth it was stopped by one of its children. The young thing had come to ask him if it was afraid of anything. Wolf said no, however, that their kind was always hunted by the humans. So perhaps he feared that he would one day die and leave his children on their own. The younger wolf nodded and padded away. Now the oldest wolf who's name was Miku felt responsible for all wolves for they were all his children and he was worried the little pup might go off on his own to hunt down humans. he followed it for a while and saw that it did no such thing, instead it played with its siblings and hunted like all wolves do. Satisfied he left the pup alone and continued watching over his kind and signing to earth and Moon with them. Then one day a hunter entered the forest. He heard Miku's beautiful voice and upon seeing him knew that he must kill this beast. For Miku was twice the size of the largest wolf, he was brown, red, black, white, and grey. He was the father of all wolves after all! So the hunter lined up his shot while Miku sang. The young pup saw what was happening for he had stayed close to Miku even if Miku did not know. When he saw the hunter pull the trigger he leaped through the air and the bullet that should have taken the wolf father's life instead hit the young pup. Miku turned startled and killed the hunter with a swipe of his claws. Then he hurried to the pups side. the pup was dying and with his last words told Miku that he would like to watch over his family and that he would have liked to dance if he knew how. So when the pup died Miku sent his spirit to be the first star. Ever since then those wolves who die are sent to the stars where they can meet old friends and kin and look down upon living family and friends. Up there they are free and they dance and sing and hunt and run free, unburdened." I finished the story

I drink the water and dip my paws in.I start swimming in the water.

Destiny nodded and sniffed the air and looked around, trying to find some prey.

The pups look at you in wonder, "Can I be called Miku?" Scout barks excitedly, running in small circles. The other pups start arguing over who's called what and soon they have formed a game of sorts. Scout is Miku, Wakaso is Moon, Birch is Sun, Mossy is Earth, and Rune is the hunter. The pups play pretend, staging battles together and scuffling around.
