I'm with Nighbanewolf- here's hoping that Nytekrie gets to stay the same/nearly the same!

I am liking the new Vulnyx, though it will take some time to get used to. It doesn't seem to... fit with all of the other pets, to me? Not yet. But that's probably because I'm way, waaaaaay not used to the new updated look (just like I"m not used to the updated stables yet..) and it will just take time. (But please be kind to Nytekrie. I've been on other sites that updated their art and tada, the character/pet that I adored was unpalatable :(((( )

I had made a design a while back and decided to preview again to see how it survived the changes.. I think it looks even better now than it did before!

I'm going to be a little brutal here, and I apologize in advance, but the male honestly scares me. The female not so much, and the hatchlings are adorable as all can be, but the revamp just seems off somehow. To me, they just don't have that sleek, cat like appearance anymore. Now they kinda remind me of bob cats, and while that's fine and all, I just feel there's too much fluff and it's not as intimidating as it used to be. Honestly I liked the intimidating look because it made me feel that my pets were powerful. Now they're just kinda fluffy and cute and I feel that it's just not going to be taken as seriously. I feel that if this were a full on MMO RPG and there were characters out in the fields at all times (ya know, like full of helpful tips and reminders, people to challenge, ect.) that they'd stop and laugh if they saw me walking around with one of these.

Again, the female isn't too bad, but there's just too much fluff there for me to want to work with these.

Major credit to the hatchlings though. The fluff works quite well for them and I wish we currently had a way to freeze them from growing into adults. I'd keep all of them at the hatchling stage. owo;

This is a lovely redesign. Small errors aside with some traits, they have a much stronger presence and are definitely up to the standards of the newer species. I look forward to the future changes of the other starters. Their lineart is fairly weak and really detracts from what they could be, in my opinion.

Saw this and immediately stunned by how beautiful they are.
can't even remember how the old, terrible vulnyx looks.
