blackout appears from the mountain and trots to rocket "the herd is moving to the winter place remember when you was a foal and had to climb the mountain and then walk through the desert and then the sandstone canyons then we traveled for 100 miles to a area in the desert called an oasis where there's the small lake and the grass and remember how we stayed there all winter well we are going there again cause it's almost winter. [it snows where we are but not as much at the desert maybe a inch at the most but where we are now it snows a few inches every snowstorm witch there are alot of snow storms also the desert is a lot warmer] "come on rocket we have to catch up i came back for you and the mare and foal the herd is already climbing up the cliffs of the mountain" [these wild horses grow up climbing the mountains and are like giant mountain goats they have special hoofs that allow them to climb the mountain very easily]




[not my pic] [this is the oasis they spend the winter at and the horses in the pic are the herd blackout and rocket and her brother lives in the two horses in the front are the first mares that joined the lead stallion and reared the first babies of the herd the herd their names are apple{9 years old}and hazel{8 years old} the horse behind them is the lead stallion his name is Kitchi{he is 9 years old}(named by the natives his name means brave)and the horses behind him are all mares and his first daughter is right behind him her name is wildfire{2.5 years old} and the two last horses are his daughters their names are kasa{2 years old}(named by the natives her name means dressed in furs) and Yansa{1.5 years old just left her mother's side for good and is completely dependent on herself now}(named by the natives her name means buffalo) the 4 mares in the middle haven't been named yet and just join the herd a few weeks ago

"I'm not going." Rocket shook out her mane, looking calmly at blackout, "I want to train.. for the spring barrel races." She looked at the barn, and her meaning became clear. "I love to race, and there's only so much I can do running with the herd. Besides, they won't miss me. " She balked softly at him, "You should go with the herd now. My brother and the rest are probably already on their way. Locket.. won't speak to me now because of my decision." She laid down to rest her legs. As she saw the human in the doorway, she got up and left Blackout's side to greet her.

"well good morning," she said petting her mane, she looked over at black out and walked over to him checking his patchings.

She trotted alongside the human, giving a very unapologetic look to Blackout. Nudging her side, she tried to grab Luca's attention. After a moment, she realized Luca was checking Blackout's patches and wandered into the barn, looking around as she got an idea. After saying a short hello to all the horses in the stalls, Rocket found snowfall's tack- or maybe it was just a spare tack. Balking excitedly, she picked the tack up softly in her jaws and walked back to Luca, dropping it in front of the human and trotting a circle around her.

she looked down at it "oh i forgot i had this," she said picking it up, she looked up at rocket "you want me to put this on you?" she asked confused.

Rocket stamped her hooves impatiently, nudging Luca again. Like of course that's what she wanted, what was this silly human waiting around for? She tried to ignore the disapproving gaze her brother gave her as the silver quarter horse stood by the woods, looking at her in confusion. After a moment Locket realized Rocket wasn't going with the herd and he bounded off to return to the other wild horses. Rocket circled Luca again and huffed, a little more impatiently than she meant to be.

she giggled "ok ok ill put it on," she put it on her only tighting it a little, "is that ok?" she asked worried she tightened it to much, it had been awhile since she had put one on a horse.
