Howdy Krin! Looking forward to whatever you decide to do for next years SW, but I just wanted to drop this in here so it can be fixed when you get to it. Ive been doing pvp SW matches since the new round got set up and its telling me my points but I dont show up on the leaderboard. Waited for a couple days to see if anyone else seemed to be having this problem or if it would autofix somehow, but its not.

Looks like it was auto filtering out people who haven't reset their AI Leaderboard yet. However, that has no affect on PvP Ratings as they were already manually reset.

I went ahead and removed that filter and it looks like the PvP Leaderboard is now displaying properly.

So I'm totally confused here. I really am interested in doing the ice sculpting, but every time I think I figured out what I need to do, I look again and I'm wrong.

I have my block of ice. I have a Gentle Warmth, a block of Ice, and somehow I have a Greater Ice. I figure I need a Frost Essence, but I have no idea how to get that because to buy those requires melted Frost essence, and I have no idea how to get that.

Also, am I required to get a frosty coating, or any of the other items, or are those only nice additives? The description and directions weren't very clear over all to me.... :( Please help, I really would like to figure this out, especially with the gold I spent on the ice block before I realized how confusing it all is.......

You only need the block of ice and the frost essence. the Ice waters and everything else are completely optional.

The gentle warmth is to help the sculptures go faster and get bonuss, but even they aren't required.

For the frost essences, you can buy a mystery frost essence from the broker, or the festival shop, or if you are in region chat, you can buy specific essences from other players.

Made some much needed improvements to Snow Wars. The main focus was on two things:

1. Make progressing through AI Tiers require less of a grind, specifically for climbing from Tier 5 to Tier 6.

2. Put in place some anti-AFK measures for Player matches.


As such, the following changes have been made:

-Changed the value of points earned from Ranked AI. It now requires less total wins to climb through each Tier.

-Changed the calculation specifically for climbing from Tier 5 to Tier 6 in Ranked AI. It should now be considerably faster.

-In Player matches, if a player fails to complete a turn 5 times in a single match, they will automatically forfeit the match and not receive any prizes. Their Token will not be reimbursed.

-In Player matches, if a player fails to complete the Placement Round, they will not receive any prizes. Their Token will not be reimbursed.

-Tracking is now in place for players who AFK Forfeit matches. At this time, nothing is done with this. However, if it is still an issue moving forward, Snow Wars Bans will be enabled where players won't be able to compete in Player matches for certain period of times after certain amounts of AFK Forfeit Strikes.


Edit: Just to add final thoughts. It obviously would have been ideal to add in these changes prior to the current Leaderboard season starting. However, these changes were not ready then and at this point in time, I deem the changes way more important than the side effects of having them implemented mid-Leaderboard season. Basically, I think the positives far outweigh the negatives here.
