Nic grabs soemthing at random to eat, then puta half the food in hia original pack in the backpack. Cant hurt to spread things out just in case stuff happens. After that he'll head for some sleep.
The assorted creatures nod in agreement. Firewood is not going to be turned down now.
The two hellhound pups look at one another at your question. "Uhh..." Crimson trails off, giving you a guilty look. "I don't know. It's really snowy here, and we haven't seen a single thing we could hunt since we entered the mountains."
Emberpaw nods as she speaks.
"I don't like the snow any more," Crimson adds sulkily, curling up and looking at you with sad eyes over her tail.
"It's okay I know it's not fun. If you see anything though you try to hunt it agree?" She understood Crimson being upset and didn't want her to be more upset.
(It's no problem at all, I just realised that as a narrator I was probably meant to send reminders every so often. But I'll keep that in mind next time, you have all the time you need :) )
"So long as we're careful around some of the more dangerous clans..." Skywhisper muses, "...that doesn't sound too bad an idea to me." He looks over at the present, chirruping: "The magic of Chillfest knows no bounds!"
Inside the present is Chillfest Mince Pie (8/8).
"That'll last us a while," he comments.
(Thank you, no worries ^^)
"Yeah, wouldn't want to make any enemies or get tied up in anything we can't handle," I say, stowing the pie away for whenever we get hungry next, "I figure we'd just pick on a few common stragglers who're looking to cause trouble. Even so, probably best if we try not to let them get a good look at our faces at all."

Skywhisper nods thoughtfully. "I like the sound of that. Two anonymous crime fighters, cleaning up the Adventurer's Crossroads... maybe like those heroes that dwarf boy mistook us for," he adds, amused.
He remains silent for a few seconds before carrying on. "However... I don't think egg-care and common thug removal mix," he reminds you. "I don't know what your plans are for that."

Your belongings are now spread out among both packs
In the morning, the fire is down to embers. Today, though, the cold air bites you less - your fire magic is stronger than ever before, and keeps the Chillsky weather at bay.
The orc is in the process of covering the fire. His job isn't hard - as predicted, it snowed in the night. Not too heavily, though. A thin layer clings to the sides of your tent, and you see the same resting on your travelling companion's shoulders.
"We still see tracks," he says by way of greeting, pointing to where the disturbed snow has been smoothed down by the new layer that fell overnight. "Difficult, but still there."

After a second, a determined look enters her eyes. She nods furiously. "Yep, I can do that. I won't let you down!" she yips. "I won't let some stupid snow beat me."
She pads over to sit next to you. In the cramped tent, it isn't hard. Her hellhound warmth keeps the cold at bay, and after you had to freeze while moving snow earlier it is much needed.

Asteria hugs Crimson, "Thank you Crimson. Now we need to get moving before we loose any more daylight."

(Great metabolism nic has)
"Cool." Nicote says, then cringes at the irony. He quickly packs up. "Geuss we keep walking then."
The chill leaves you as the fire comes back to life.
Brazentalons, however, jumps up - wings askew as he spins, staring at the tracks.
"Centaur?!" he caws. He turns back to you, a fearful look in his eyes. "Rose! Don't you see? It's that centaur that I saw at the city gates! He disappeared in the commotion, I thought I was seeing things... but I mustn't have been."
He puts his head to the ground, following the tracks back and forth. He points with a talon, gesturing for you to come over. "Look. He came from the forest, not the road. He's been following us. You don't just sneak into someone's camp without waking them for no reason. He has to have been after something."
He continues to walk alongside the tracks, carefully avoiding disturbing them in his search for answers.
I hastily extinguish the fire before trotting next to him. I look at my bag and fumble around to have my worries confirmed. "They stole the ring! Well, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised about that...He probably overheard what I told the guard, though I'd imagine he's quite desperate or didn't real care about the cursed part." I continue to follow Brazentalons and the tracks.

Crimson squirms in your grasp, "Okay! I'm ready to go and hunt stuff, let's go!"
She runs over to the tent flaps only to come to an abrupt halt, shaking her head with a confused expression as the entryway doesn't give.
