Ok, here we go:
Adult Male:
The new shape of the back and the daintier back legs are a definite improvement; he looks more stable, though his front legs being further apart would still improve on his visible stability. The adjustment to the ears is great, looks more natural. The muzzle though, was significantly better on the original. The shape of the new muzzle does not match the overall snout shape of the rest of the designs and makes him look like different species of pet altogether. His muzzle needs to be broader to make it look like a grown up version of the hatchling male's mouth. Noses, jaws & mouths, getter bigger overall with age and the shape, more often than not, stays very much the same.
Adult Female:
Big improvements here. The new curve of the ankles and slightly wider stance has taken away a lot of the human shape to here, so she's much more appealing now. The new ear angle and slimmer tail make her look lighter, but still nice and fluffy. With the ear turned out her neck looks less twisted, but I think it would still look better at a less sharp angle. The only other area that could use some adjustment would be the slope of her lower back and rear - it's still a bit 'come hither' female model/human looking (just a little bit creepy).
Baby Male:
I don't see any changes made here, so my recommendation is the same - point the right foreleg towards us making a v-shape with his front legs to make him look more playful and stable.
Baby Female:
Her longer tail does look nicer, and is more in line with the baby male's. That though, seems to be the only change made, so I'd still recommend turning her head, because it looks unnaturally twisted turned that far. Adjusting her right leg would also make her look less like she'll fall over.
Overall, nice improvements. ^^

Okie lemme borrow dis pic.
I think what cloudsoda did on the male would be a better fit he has the slimmer muzzle and the smirk. Its not as small as the one on the one here in fact i kind of find it hard for that to be considered a smirk, a tiny one at that ,it just looks like a little curve or hook at the end of the lip. I think the smirk is or, was for that matter, was part of why many were more exited for this revamp. Although the other choices i find quite good. I'm just saying what I and maybe some other people think would be better and all.
Alright, here are their edits according to the feedback we received and Fimbry and I nitpicking them together. :)
New Edits
vs the old version
Let me know what you guys think. As always...please be polite with your criticism. :)
ahh see, thats better hehe
, i would have made the female tail a lil more smaller BUTTTTTTTT i like the way it is compared to the first version ^_~

Maybe a *Little* Smirk on the male? Also, it almost seems to me that the female's ears are a bit too fluffy now.. Other than that I'm Loving them!

Well. I absolute love foxes (insanely so). Zolnixi was my starter, as well. I liked them, but I am soooo excited for the redraw. And I love the second tweak that's been done. After examining every little bit between the old (new) redraw and the new tweak, I am really pleased with where they are. I have no criticism for them, just hurry and get them out here!!
Great job to the team, I'm really, really looking forward to them. Already planning on putting some in my party again. ^-^
Edit: Omg, I just realized... I SO hope you do something like what you're doing with the sylvorpas.. Like, the ability to redistribute or fix your starter / generated pet... O.O I hope so, so much! Shiki, you will become a better you! *hugs starter*

Soooo.... does this mean all of the species are going to be redrawn? They will all be changed to the "cartoon" style instead of the "realistic" style? Dont get me wrong, I'm sure some people prefer the cartoon style, especially the younger players, but some of us like the current style.... after all, we wouldnt invest our time (and money) on the site if we didnt like it the way it is currently...

The "Cartoony" style was in reference to our already used style. I think what she meant to say was that they're more anime-y... like Pokemon and the like. Not Disney cartoony.
But the important thing is no, we aren't changing our style for artwork. The revamp process is just to improve the quality of the older artwork, to have their artistic style match our newer artwork, and to re-structure them so that we don't have mutation clashes like we do now (bows sticking through wings, etc).

I know that this has probably been said more times than we can count, but I liked the adult male Zolnixi's muzzle in the first redrawn lines more than the new, slimmer muzzle. Maybe it is just me but I think it doesn't look quite as good now.
Zolnixis are almost certainly my favourite type of Sylesti, but even when I first joined I thought that the original lines for the male weren't as nice as they could be so I didn't like the males nearly as much as the females. The redraw is a huge opportunity to fix the lines and attract more players so I think it would be a huge improvement if the artists were to either revert to the first redrawn lines' muzzle or widen the second version's muzzle a bit so it is somewhere in between the two designs.

The muzzle was retouched so that it reflected more of a fox muzzle than a wolf muzzle. You can google the difference in skulls and easily see that fox muzzles are much more slim and pointy compared to the wide structure of a wolf.
