He looks like he wants to object, but can't find the words to voice his unhappiness. Instead he keeps his mouth shut and trails after the party as you take the long road back out of the mountains.
Crimson makes an effort to search around for anything to hunt on the valley floor, but soon comes back with no luck.
As the shadows envelop the mountain passes, night soon approaching, the group is exhausted after many days of struggling through the snow. The two pups are struggling to keep on their feet, snow clinging to their fur and their usual fire drained from them.
You're not doing much better. Though you have a high stamina level, it just isn't enough to keep you going strong for so long through the difficult mountain paths.

Many griffins are known to shed feathers here or there if they're careless. The innkeeper could have customers who are allergic to such things.
At your question, the innkeeper's face lights up. "You know, I have just the job for you. Usually, my inn is made all pretty with lots of flowers and the like. Chillsky, however, put a stop to all of the ones I had," she grimaces at that, before reverting back to a cheery smile. "But I have an order of some new seeds that's just come in! From the Western territories, I can't wait to see them bloom..."
Skywhisper looks like he's trying very hard to pay attention to what she's saying as she meanders on, not with much luck.
"...anyway. They're ready to be picked up at one of the warehouses on the west side of the 'Crossroads. D'you think you could grab them for me? It'll give you a bed for a couple of nights before I'll extract some more favours from you."

"Let's set up camp," Asteria says calmly as she looks around to make sure it's safe.

(And here I was imagining Skywhisper knocking over explosives xD)
I also zone out her ramble about flowers, but jump to attention when she mentions the favors. "Of course!" I say cheerfully, "We can do that right?" I glance at Skywhisper, it's simple enough and shouldn't endanger the egg.

Nicote glares but does as told, , instead pretending to see the weapons and amount of guards and th en oughly shoving a coiple tins at the orc. "I pray you get fod poisoning or a good stomaach ache from that." He grumbles. "Youre lucky im too tired to fight a bunch of metalweilders."
(The first paragraph, I thought: 'seems fine to me'. Now I've hit the second, and I'm verily confused xD
Gold star for the funniest response I've ever received, well done)
You used Firewood. Uses remaining: 1
The centaur gives you a funny look before settling on the other side of the fire, holding his hands out to warm them. Brazentalons collapses, tiredly, onto the ground next to you. He shoots a warning glare at the centaur before falling soundly asleep.
The centaur looks like he wants to say something, a hesitant expression on his face. But you fall asleep before he finds the words he's looking for.
In the morning, you awake to frost as usual, worse than yesterday. The fire has kept most of it at bay though, along with your blanket.
You're the first one to wake.
You feel hungry.
I brush off any frost on my blanket and try to warm up my hands a little with a small flame. Then I take out the Griffin Feed and lay it in front of Brazentalons. I also take out 2/8 of the Chillfest Stuffing for me and the centaur. I wait for them to wake up while I eat my breakfast but I'll tell the others to wake up if they don't after a couple of minutes of waiting.

(I just realised - when you first met, Numbat was supposed to part ways with you when you all reached the mountains. Oopsie... bit late for that now :/
Okay, plan B. For plot, pretend for me that Numbat did not display a sense of fear going to the STs, instead a distant and unreadable expression :D)
The mountain path looks fine to you, just like it was when you were heading in the opposite direction though this time, obviously, with your group's old footprints in the snow.
The snow lies thinner at this spot, so it isn't too hard for it to be cleared away for your camp. The tents take a while to put up with weary hands, but eventually you have a campsite set up.
Do you wish to sleep until morning?

(Woah, what? xD Okay, did not see that coming. Well, in that case, some of her customers might be a tad allergic to explosions. Quite a common thing I hear :P)
Skywhisper looks mortified for a second as he realises he's been asked a question. You can almost see the cogs working in his head as he tries to remember what the centaur's favour actually is. "Oh! Yeah, fetching seeds. Sounds safe to me," he nods.
The centaur manages to beam more than she already was. "Wonderful! Right..." she tells you the name of the warehouse where her seeds are being kept, its rough location and gives you a bag of gold to pay the trader who will be waiting there to complete the deal.
"My name's Rythia, by the way. Tell the trader I sent you," she says, her eyes darting over to a couple of customers who beckon for her attention. "I'll see you both later then. G'luck!"
She moves away to attend her customers, leaving Skywhisper to sigh loughly. "We're going to get that. Every. Day." After a second, though, he twitters a griffin-laugh. "Could be worse."

"Well then, at least that means hopefully we won't have to listen to her rambling some more," I add, stifling a chuckle as I begin to head outside. "I think we ought to walk there the first day at least, so we're familiar with the location and how to get there if we ever need to walk there again for some reason. Plus more sightseeing, hooray."

(Do you want to pick which 2 tins of food you're sacrificing?)
The orc lets out raucous laughter. He snatches the [whichever tins you go for] from your grasp, pierces them with his tusks and devours their contents on the spot.
"Comedian and master thief of good food. Your visit has made my day less boring," the chief grins. "You may go."
You're skillful acting has kept your group alive - charisma successful
As Spork urges you forward with the staff, the chief begins laughing again. He snatches the weapon from the smaller orc's grasp and snaps it without much effort. "Firewood is not a weapon, Spork," he sneers.
Spork grits his teeth and shoves you forward, and soon the two of you are in the Phoenix Pass with the guards far behind.
"Sorry," he growls, clearly frustrated. "I find you a better weapon to make up for losing your staff."
