I appreciate your answer Kaitt, but I still would like an answer from Krin.
I have done this fest every year since its inception. I know doing the battle portion is a bit of a grind. But I have done it in years past, my question now is if the numbers needed have changed or if my bar might be stuck.

I have taken and blown up a screenshot of my bar after 425 enemies. Something should show, even a tiny sliver, if the 20k enemies are correct. That is 2%.

I am also wondering if we have always had the "non-sylestian" battles only counting towards the bar.

try releasing a few pets and seeing if your bar moves. you are at rank 9 now so it takes alot of battles to finish rank 9 with just battles. The number i quoted before was to get to where you are. Where those of us who have finished the others are can be filled with nurture, releasing or battle and battle is honestly the worst to fill it with

Yes, I know this Kaitt, as I have done this for the last couple of years. I don't have many to release, and truthfully I don't have the time to sort through to get the ones I have. I'm really looking for an answer from Krin, when he has a minute. His answer will help me make a decision on how and if I keep playing.

we have over 1k battles in the Grove since patriotic event started and our progress bar hasn't gotten any points at all- the bar is completely empty.
This just. cannot be right- if you needed even 1k enemies to get 1%, that'd mean it'd take 100k enemies to do it??

I don't know how the behind-the-scenes functions, but I think something didn't get turned on or... something?

Seeing this appears to be a site wide issue, I've pretty much given up on battling for the time being.

I understand that battling is the slowest way to go for but even if you take the current progress and compare it to the other two this is insane.

You can do the ~5500 Nurtures you need in a day if you're really trying but at this pace it is impossible to finish the High Warlord without grinding multiple hours per day, each day.

Over 300 battles and my warlord bar hasn't moved at all

oh wow really? If we consider that to be 1% then you'd need to kill around 250,000 non sylesti enemies. That's.... a lot compared to the other two rank 8 progressions. Especially since you're battling in the LG for bonus points. The sheer number of non LG enemies you'd need to kill would be ridiculous. That's not a level of grinding I can sustain quite frankly. Even the amount of grind I've done so far was making my hands cramp up last night. I already work a job that puts me at risk of repetitive stress injuries in my hands, I physically can't do that much grinding.

And if this is just meant to be a "complete across multiple patriotic events" thing then frankly the other Rank 8's still need to be better balanced as they're pretty easily completed in one event.

Yes, this would be an absolutely insane amount of non sylesti enemies you have to defeat. 10x the battles that I did overall, which also includes grinding the previous fests for leaderboards.

Even if you need to do this over multiple patriotic events, this would mean hundreds of hours of grinding non sylesti enemies. Impossible for everyone who isn't able to take multiple hours a day in the current state.

I hope it's not intended and Krin accidentally entered a 0 or two where they shouldnt be X'D

Completing the event task should bring you at least somewhat to the middle of the bar imo :'))
