[1/4/2024] Art for Draculina (#76469) ~ Draculina's OCs
Version with stitches: https://i.imgur.com/bBGHSAp.jpeg
I think I finally have a consistent rendering style for hair XD Tried using more of the flat brush instead of my usual go-to, the round brush. And, I need to figure out how to make characters look more immersed into their background hmm...

[1/15/2024] Art for Calyrex (#72557) ~ Calyrex's OC
Made cleaner than usual lineart for this. I was quite happy with the flame effects!

Can't remember if it was this guide, but I did refer to a guide for drawing paws lol: https://i.pinimg.com/236x/36/3e/24/363e240374d455b5544ade8268b07105.jpg

[2/3/2024] Art for Frostfal (#163766) ~ Frostfal's OC
I recall I had some trouble with the background. Fortunately it turned out fine!
Something about the character's pose looks kinda off though... :')

[6/5/2024] Art for Hershey (#52711) ~ Hershey's Darigan Bori's Sushi Feast
Had a mixture of "no time" and "no mood" to draw prior to completing this oops. So instead of following my usual step-by-step process (i.e. sketch --> lineart --> base colour --> render --> background), I tried simply doing whatever I felt like doing at the moment. This actually made the whole process a lot smoother and quicker, since I tend to get bored of doing the same thing pretty easily XD
Inspiration for the floating things in the background hahah: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0613/0437/3481/articles/Ikura_sushi.jpg?v=1683722823

[10/1/2024] Personal Art ~ Sylesti Sketches (Part I)
I've been trying to properly learn and practice drawing recently. Started off with animal anatomy (sort of), where I basically find some real animal pictures online and try to draw them as best as I can. I thought it'd be fun if I did it with Sylesties too! I think the results turned out not bad. Definitely better than what I could have drawn in the past. My favourite is probably that zolnixi in the top left corner XD
I hope to draw every single sylesti species eventually (I hope). There are so many though! Hence, I'll be splitting them into a few groups, maybe based on their type.
Note to self: perhaps don't use a pencil brush next time, or at least find one that doesn't change thickness every few stokes :')

[10/24/2024] Personal Art ~ Sylesti Sketches (Part II)
These were a tough bunch to draw. Not sure what category they fall under, but I suppose "winged sylesties that like trees" kinda works. I probably had the most trouble with the lunemara at first ---- it either didn't look like a bug, or didn't look cute at all. Also got confused drawing its many legs (or are they arms?). Turns out drawing feathered wings is quite satisfying. Tiring too though :')
Anyway, I tried out some nice watercolour brushes that I downloaded for free (link below). Pretty sure I'm not using them right, but it was fun nonetheless! Perhaps my choice of colours was not the best, but I'm overall happy with the results XD
Another 4 sylesties down, 13 more to go! (I hope I did the math right)
edit: forgot to mention that I conveniently gave the Aeridini a pampas tail lol

Stared in awe at a bunch of pictures of swans and their magnificent wings. I forgot which picture I eventually used as the reference for the Aurleon though oops
