Character Sheets
These are character sheets I made for a comic I am currently working on. Like the other comic I have talked about here this one is meant to be one chapter long(a one-shot comic) sadly I've been spending more time in the planning stage not the drawing one. I'm currently reworking the thumbnails. The finished comic will be roughly 40-50 pages.

Directly below is the sheet for the supporting cast, I wanted to draw them out before hand to avoid delay when drawing. This sheet was the most fun to draw out of the following ones and I love the two drawings of Benny in the top left corner.

Directly below is the first sheet I made and I also think it's the weakest. This is one of the main characters, her name is Luceil. I have have a few colour combos as well as some expressions(which I really like) and a close up.

Directly below is the antagonist of the comic. She's just a scraggly ghost who has a bone to pick. I'm really into the full body I drew of her<3 it was so much fun!

Directly below is another of the main characters, Addiah. Luceil is her bestie and co-worker. They preform in a circus together. Like the topmost sheet, this one was extremely fun to draw. The full body(s) were so pleasing

This last one is a sheet of Addiah and Luceil in their stage costumes. It also is final reference for their tattoos.

Miscellaneous Traditional art
Art that I don't feel fits in a particular category is located here!

I've been using all my drawing time recently to work on my comic, my sketchbook has been looking bleak. But I wanted to fill it more so I did a chill spread using mint and lavender pencils. Above and below are some of the things I drew. I was considering posting the whole spread in the sketchbook spread section, but on this page I did a silly comic thing of a dream I had and it's slightly embarrassing, lol. The top drawing looks quite good to me, I spent a bit of time on it, so things look better. The bottom two are quick drawings. When I draw something that's really default to me, I notice it barely takes any time. I was curious exactly how much time I took so I timed both these sketches individually. The top one took 2min 35sec and the bottom 3min 30sec, same as what's written on the page. Maybe once my comic makes more progress I can share some of my fav panels :D would anyone be interested to see?

I didn't realize how similar the drawing directly above and below are lol. The one above is a random elf character. The one below is a random vampire character.

Directly below is a random elf character. I used my markers to add a pop of colour without regret. I continuously look at this little elf boy with fond eyes.

Just a fun drawing using my pink micron and a blue marker. I had fun drawing the eyes and want to continue to practice drawing these types of eyes. Lol this section should be re-titled Mostly Drawing Using Pink >.<

Random digital art

Above I made using a Line sticker template to show my love for gyoza\wontons (lol as I'm writing my tummy is full of gyoza xD) this piece is especially silly because I don't use Line. It's also the first piece I made with a digital art tablet.
Directly below is a inked piece, with some screentone, of my comic characters. I decided to put it here instead of with the other comic related art so I could have something more in the digital art section.

Candy Scabs page!
A page in my painting sketchbook of the main characters from a game called Candy Scabs. The game is a horror game so please beware before playing or searching it.

Above is the finished page featuring three separate paintings.
Above is the sketch for the painting below. I had fun painting it!

Directly below is another of the painting on this page. I don't have a picture of just the line art because I didn't really like it. I was thinking about scrapping it and maybe taping in a piece of paper over it, but I try not to get worried about art I'm not completely fond of. Thus I decided to paint it dispite not being completely in love with it. After painting it I grew more fond of it, but I still recognize its flaws.

Above is the line art of the painting below. I think the painting isn't all that bad but the right side seems much more desaturated than the left. I wanted to make the orange brighter, but only realized after I laid down the black paint. I wasn't confidant in adding more orange paint next to the black without it bleeding together, to I didn't. A lesson to pay attention to next time.

2023 Fall Festival

This was my entry for the 2023 fall festival colouring page. I used Krita to colour it: first with the colorize mask then separated each base colour and rendered it. I surprised myself with how well I coloured this, it's only my second fully rendered, with a background, piece I've coloured. Of course the line art wasn't done by me, so that made the process much lighter. The line art is so good, I never questioned it when I was working. The lines for the wrinkles were also extremely clear and easy to understand. I was super proud of myself when the contest results were announced, I got second place! All the other submissions were so good, I'm so proud of the other artists on Sylestia! I can't wait for the next colouring page contest!

Directly above is my submission for the 2023 fall festival digital pumpkin carving contest. After working so hard on the colouring page I didn't have very much stamina left. I wanted to make something more than a simple face on the pumpkin, so I drew a vampire and some bats. I didn't work very hard so I didn't place in the contest, there were so many other submissions that were better than mine. It looked like some people put a lot of effort into their entry, I'm glad they were rewarded for their hard work!

2024 Create a Sylestia Valentine

For this contest I wanted to paint some Sylvorpas. With that in mind I decided to make a Valentine's Day card. To make it more unique and fun I thought I could use some embroidery thread to make a cute boarder. On the back I wrote a cute message to all of Sylestia. Below are the front an back of the finished card. I had fun drawing these cute Sylvorpas, their meant to be mother and son. And the egg is maybe a litter sister :) I used the generator to help invision them properly.
You can see all the progress pics here

Sylvorpa drawings

Below is a page from my previous Sketchbook. Randomly I really wanted to draw some cute baby vorpies. I only had access to one pic of a vorp, but I tried by best to make a couple unique poses. I'm really inexperienced when it comes to drawing animals so this was a fun challenge for me. I coloured them with my markers. And to address the elephant in the room: I spelt Sylvorpa wrong. We all make mistakes. Hopefully I will make another cute vorp page in the future with the right spelling.

Digital art from 4/2024-??

Above is a recent piece of digital art. I wanted to draw something that sorta gave a photocard or cheki vibe. I knew I wanted to add writing and a sort of boarder. When it came time to add writing I didn't know what to write, I wanted something that fit the sweet and cute vibe of the illustrations. It wasn't until a song I liked played and I thought of writing the title. The title is rabureta (love letter) which I thought fit, then to make it feel more cohesive I added kaiteru which means writing, so the picture says writing a love letter(in Japanese). I also found I really like this line art brush when I made this piece! It's so comfortable to draw with. P.S the background and vest print were patterns from the CSP asset store :)

This I a piece I did to practice inking, I shaded it with grey tones then used a gradient map to change the colours to pink. I had fun drawing this cute girl. Now I'm gonna be busy starting to draw my comic. So excited!

Xiao Wu Page
A page with a few water colour paintings of the character Xiao Wu, she is from a anime named Soul Land.

Honestly, I'm not very fond of this page over all. The painting at the top left corner is very weak in my opinion. Overall it's not the worst, but I think I could've done better if I put in more effort.

This bottom painting is a redemption for this page. I really like it. I tend to over work my paper when I paint, but I went into this drawing trying to keep the painting simple. I also used a ruler when sketching to make the face more symmetrical.
