Kitheire:
Rumors of a young Elven maiden's beauty spread far and wide. There's no other who could compare to her beauty. The rumors had spread into the far off dark land where a being named Savardkian, ruled.
Savardkian is evil, hostile, chaotic and vile. He's a self proclaimed King of his land. His true form is monstrous or demon-like, but appears darkly beautiful to others, rarely showing his true form. He uses dark magick, but Savardkian didnt just dabble in the arts, he mastered the dark magicks.
Savardkian had heard of Kitheire's beauty and had to see for himself. He scried the forest where Kitheire and her people lived. When he had spotted her in the dark waters of his scrying pool, he was unable to tear his eyes off of her. He became obsessed with her. Finally, after watching her for so long, he had gotten it in his mind that only he shall have her. He'd kill anyone who got in his way. He traveled to the forest, lying in wait just beyond the protective barrier that surrounded their small village. He used his dark magicks to lure her beyond the barrier where he appeared to her in his darkly beautiful form. It was difficult to resist the lure. For many nights, he lured her from the protective barriers. Each night when she returned to the safety of the barriers, she could remember nothing, only that she suddenly stood just inside the small unused gate the is supposed to be barred.
This went on, night after night for a year. She had begun to fall for the stranger, yet once behind the protective barriers she could not remember anything. Savardkian had plenty of time to set his evil plan in motion, he only needed to gain her trust, which he had. It was time to finalize it all. This time when he lured her, the dark magicks he used had her meeting him with a rucksack of clothing. It was time for them to leave for his land.
Savardkian took her back to his dark land with evil plots in his head. He had told her that the form she sees him in is all created by magicks that he'd teach her. She had begged to see his true for, but he refused. He taught her what he knew. She practiced hard, and studied even harder for nearly five years. And in all those years he had never shown her his true form.
Then one day, they were in the dark gardens below the balcony of her living quarters. She had yet again, asked to se his true form. Deep down she was getting rather tired of him refusing to reveal his true form. She had done everything he had asked, even coming here to this dark land where she seen no one. In the five years there, she had only see guards and servants.
She had told him that he needs to trust her at some point, that his true form can't be that bad. He grew tired of her asking, even to the point of being angered by it. Finally, he showed her the monstrous, demon-like form. She screamed and tried to run. She was so disgusted and afraid of him, but there was nowhere for her to run. She was trapped. She ran back to her living quarters, locking herself in.
For many days he tried to see her. Tried to talk to her. But she refused him. She wanted to be far away from him. Many times she tried to sneak out of the castle, off the grounds. Her only thought was to get as far away from him as possible. Unfortunately, she had been caught every time. She was beaten and returned to her living quarters. Savardkian tried talking to her again and again, but was still refused which angered him. She yelled at him through the door, telling him he's vile and she despised him. This angered him beyond rational thinking. He busted the door in beat her and then used dark magicks on her without thinking, turning her beauty into the vile, ugly creature she now despises. He then released her into the forest that surrounded his castle. He told her upon releasing her that if he couldn't have her, then no one would want her.
Her face is now so grotesque, that she fashioned a mask to hide it. But there was nothing she could do to hide the rest of her grotesque body. She couldn't go back to her people, no one would recognize her. They'd probably try to kill her on the spot. She had no choice, but to go into hiding. Her once pure heart is now shriveled and dark. Her mind is warped. She made a vow to herself that she will get her revenge upon him. Until then, she has to survive. It was two days after being transformed into the vile creature she is now, she can't just survive on the normal sustenance. Rabbit meat no longer satisfied her hunger. She realized, she needed blood to survive. Just the thought of it made her nauseous every time. She hid out in a deep, dark cave. She used the dark magicks Savardkian had taught her, on the cave to keep him out should he come looking for her.

Revenge shall be hers........Dark Magicks shall never die!!!!!

Gilda is an ancient gargoyle who has sworn to protect the ruins in which she was originally built. Long ago, deep in the woods, there used to be a castle, in the center of what used to be a thriving kingdom. After a brutal war, all that remains are stone, debris, and Gilda. Despite there no longer being anything worth protecting, she refuses to give up on her home.

Girl Unknown

It was the start of the school year, and the boy had recently transferred schools. Everything was new to him. From the beautiful courtyard to the students, and the cafeteria, it was all a wonder to him.

Getting to know the other students was easier said than done. He felt like he didn't belong. All the other kids seemed to have their own group, and he didn't know how to break into one or how to be a part of things. He just knew that he felt alone.

He was so happy when he found a note left to him. He was looking for a pen to use in class, and as he shifted through his bag, he found a note. He didn't see how slipped it in, he had no idea who would have either. Ever since he had transferred, he couldn't recall even one person doing anything more than saying hi or asking to borrow something to write with. But that simple note made him light up, his hands trembling as he peeled it open.

The note was from a girl... Her Is were dotted with hearts. Her handwriting was stunning. But most of all, she was someone who was paying attention to him. Someone who noticed how alone he was, someone who wanted to be his friend. Maybe even more.

He didn't understand why she didn't just approach him in person. But regardless, he wrote a note back, slipping it into his bag,
By the end of the school day, the note was gone. He wondered if it was a girl in his class who had written to him. If she had seen her name on the note and took it from his bag to see his response to her. He didn't question it. He was just happy to finally have someone to talk to, even if it was through pen and paper rather than in person.

For the next few weeks, they talked. Exchanging notes. Finally, she asked him to meet him after school, after everyone else had left, in the courtyard, by the garden. He agreed, ready to meet the girl who had shown him such kindness, the girl he was certain he was starting to crush on from words alone.

He waited until he was certain that all the other students had left before he headed to the gardens that day. The courtyard he once thought looked so pretty, felt ominous that day, as if warning him to go back. The plants looked gnarled and twisted. Vines looking as if they were reaching out to ensnared him. But he didn't care. He just had to meet the girl.

And he did.

Standing in front of the entrance of the gardens, the arch littered with pink roses, tenderly decorated by the gardening club, he saw her from a distance. Her uniform was spotless, prim, proper. Her long black hair was carefully styled to frame her face... Yet it almost looked like she was hiding behind it. He could see a rose in her hand, and he couldn't help but wonder if she planned to ask him out.

He walked closer... A foul stench hit him. It was the stench of decay. Why was he smelling that? Was it possible some poor animal had gotten trapped in the garden bushes and passed away? Perhaps hidden and buried in the leaves that had fallen? He didn't know. But the smell was strong, he wanted to gag.

Closer still he went... And as he stood mere feet away from her, he realized, the stench of decay emanated from her.

Her body was as pale as the snow. Her cheeks were hollow and sunken. Her hair, beautiful from affair, looked dull, and as if it could fall out if tugged or touched even a little. The only color on her aside from her uniform, were her pink, chapped, cracked, lips. Her lips looked as if they could start to bleed at any moment. A worm was crawling from the inside of a wound on her cheek, wiggling about as it burrowed deeper inside her flesh.

And he finally heard her talk... Her voice was soft, delicate...

"You're lonely like me, right? Take this rose, kiss me, and you'll never be alone again. We'll be together forever. Don't you want to be with me forever?"

She reached out, offering him the rose... He heard what sounded like a seam tearing, and not many moments later, he saw blood seeping into the pure white fabric of her uniform from under her arm.

He stood, watching, in stark terror as she moved closer to him.

Closer she got. And closer. Until she rested one, rotting hand on his shoulder, the other formed into a fist, resting against his arm, still holding the rose.

She leaned in, her lips grazing his.

And that's when he screeched, and jerked back, shoving her away right before her lips could meet his in a kiss. For he realized, if they kissed, he'd be dead like her.

He watched as the ghostly girl fell back, and without a second thought, he ran away, running until he was home.

That night, he went to bed terrified. He locked his bedroom windows and door. He even kept checking under his bed and in his closet for the ghostly girl, afraid he had angered her by rejecting her affections and her offer of eternal life with her.

All this time, he'd been talking to a girl who was dead.

At school, he still found himself receiving notes...

"Please don't leave me."

"I thought we were friends!"

"I love you!"

He ignored these pleas, and he tried to make friends. He tried to forget about her.

But every now and then, he'd look out the window as he sat in class, and he'd see her, standing under the garden entrance's archway, holding a rose, smiling, blowing him kisses, beckoning him to join her.

The Doll Left in the Graveyard

In the early 1900's, a little girl was laid to rest in her family's cemetery after a tragic accident occurred. Her favorite doll was set beside her tombstone, in hopes that it would help her spirit in the afterlife.

Unfortunately, the girl's spirit did not pass on. Her spirit remained, and as she watched her parents grow old and her siblings build their own lives over the years, she began to resent them.. trapped in this world, yet unable to enjoy life as they had.

Her resentment only grew as she watched new families move in and out of her old home, seemingly taking everything she could no longer have for granted. Eventually, her hate grew so strong she was able to possess the deteriorating doll left at her grave.

She was now able to move, but still lacked everything she missed about life--smelling the crisp morning air, feeling the soft grass beneath her feet, and the sweet taste of the apples from her family's apple tree. This only served to anger her further, and she used this anger to do everything in her power to scare off the families that decided to move in to her old home.

Forever connected to the property her family owned all those years ago, she bitterly roams in the doll body she's now stuck in. The house is now long abandoned, but if anyone dare try to venture onto the property, she avidly ensures they become so frightened they never attempt it again.

- - - Aurelia Aspen - - -

As the leaves dull, shifting from vivid emerald green to burnt orange and yellow, so do the viridescent colours of Aurelia's robes. When the first leaf lets go of its branch, Aurelia awakes. Fall sets in quickly and all the trees begin to let go of their leaves, allowing them to tumble to the forest floor, Aurelia blends into the decay, barely remarkable from the piles of leaves and disorientating orange haze that permeates the forest.

Passers-by from the village that borders the forest occasionally catch sight of a shock of white hair diving between the trees, Aurelia never strays close enough to the path to be properly perceived by the towns folk. He is the ghost of fall, they say, rumoured to bring good luck to the coming harvest. Guided by their parents, the children of the village hunt for their favourite leaves along the edge of the forest and adorn an old evergreen with wreaths of yellow and orange at the beginning of fall. Come morning, the wreath is gone.

Aurelia wanders between the trees, as they do every year, enamoured by the sunset-coloured leaves cascading from above. Content to wander and bask is the beauty. A swarm of leaves follows in their wake, comprised of the very best and most beautiful fall leaves.
