Sorry, didn't see your posts. ^^;

If you go to your pet's page (from upper menu bar: account>stables>pick your pet via the blue name), you can see the Spend Level Ups and Proficiencies buttons under Information. You can stat your pets through those buttons.

Hope it helped!

I think the kind of pet you have also effects which kind of damage-dealer is better for them. For example, I have two Aurleons, one I want for magical and one for physical. I add intelligence and strength to magical and physical respectively just as you said. The magical Aurleon deals exemplary damage while the physical Aurleon's physical damage is still lower than it's magical damage, even when I'm adding all of my points to strength and none to intelligence. On the contrary, I'm trying to build a physical damage-dealer Lighra, and it's been working just fine.
So the kind of pet also matters when you're trying to train a pet.

The kind of pet you use should not make a difference on whether it uses physical or magical damage. I have used the same pet, reset its points, and restat it to the other stat, and it works just fine (ie I used the same pet for magical and physical damage at different points in time). Many users also have an entire party built by one species (usually for festivals when there are contests). So you might want to recheck what is causing your physical to be lower than magical, even though you've been adding all your level up/proficiency points to strength.

I'll think the main thing you'll need to check would be the equipment. Different equipment adds varying amounts to both stats, and relics give addition boosts to one/both damage. Make sure the equipment only adds more to the stat you want to boost, and doesn't split equally between the two.

Another thing that might affect is the pet stat base. Most pets have low stat base, so the slight difference in strength/intelligence usually doesn't matter once you use level up/proficiency points, or add equipment. That is unless you have a stat pet, ie a pet that has been bred to have a high stat base, and there is a large difference between that one stat and the rest.

If you like, you can link the pet, and write how many points you put in each stat (both level up and proficiency), and I can try to figure out why your pet is not using physical damage as you intended.

Oh my goodness. This guide is fantastic!
Thank you so much for taking so much time to writing this thread. It basically saved my failing exploring life.

Two-thumbs up for an excellent guide that solves the many many questions I had before. Again, THANK YOU!!!
