I think they look at horror so they can have that clam feeling at the end when it's over. They want to feel calm, safe, from every bad thing is this world.
Even when it's not real.
I think that's why.

Guess what? I got my sister to read this. XD She dislikes horror and gore (because she easily gets really scared, lol), but she specifically liked this one! She loves the idea of the little girl and the names you came up with for the 'games'. :3 Now she's always joking around saying:
"Teehee, follow me~"

XD I would probably do the same thing...or give them 'tea' which is actually milk mixed with a manky teabag flavor we once found (can't remember what it was, like pepper and honey or something but it was disgusting!)
