I was going to enter a short story I wrote a while ago but I felt it was to ..."dark"... I guess you could describe it. So I decided to go with a poem I wrote along time ago, about 3 years or so ago, about a battleground in World of Warcraft... xD If you play WoW you'll probably understand and if not oh well.
Arathi Basin
Arathi Basin, one of many battlegrounds
The hunters let out their sulking hounds
Mounted up, the gates are open
Your part of the Alliance so your hopin'
To win this round, but the horde are owning
At the top of the kill count the rogues are pwning
They roam around with their daggers in stealth
Waiting to ambush you and steal all your health
They have all the bases, including the stables
I remember the old fables
When the Alliance didn't just sit around and mope
We're going to cap a base! Wait! ... nope
The Alliance's weapons must be made of tin
We've lost our hope... Horde win.

You guys all submitted such great entries and it was really hard to decide my favorites! I want you to keep in mind that these winners are completely subjective and based on what I, personally, enjoyed the most, but are in no way meant as an absolute judgment on the quality of the work.
