https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1820973 they were engaged to be mates at birth for when they are old enough to bring the two shadow tribe families together the shadow flame tribe where Adriel is from and the shadow mist tribe where Achlys is from.

Yes indeed I can. Did the two of them want to be mates/like each other once they were old enough?

Taming of the Lion

Being born solely for the purpose of uniting two Tribes is something that puts a lot of stress onto a young creature's shoulders. Adriel and Achlys were no different; barely adolescents, they'd been told by their parents that they were set to marry each other, and bring peace and stability between their two Tribes. Turmoil both outside and inside of their kingdoms had lead to this decision, and they were both conceived for one purpose: to marry and mate with each other.

Their parents had hoped that their union would be quick and painless, but the two of them were what humans would call teenagers, and they were not interested in pleasing their parents.

"I don't like you," were the first words Achlys said to Adriel upon meeting him for the very first time. Scoffing, he replied just as bitterly,

"I don't like you either." It seemed to be the only thing the two of them could agree on.

Their dislike of each other was less an actual dislike of their personalities; rather, it was based more on a mutual dislike of their parents and their expectations. Neither of them had any intention of doing what their parents expected them to do, regardless of what was "best for the Tribes and their kingdoms." They were practically children, after all, and children have little regard for anything outside of their own interests.

As they grew older, the two of them began to notice one another more, and not quite in a bad way, either. Suddenly, Adriel was paying more attention to the way Achlys moved, how she spoke, how she smelled. Achlys was starting to notice how Adriel's mane was becoming fuller and growing out, making him appear more regal and sophisticated. It was a strange, slow progression, one that neither of them seemed to take much notice to.

For their parents, however, it was obvious.

The barriers the two of them had forced between each other were slowly beginning to fall. Achlys spent more time with Adriel, talking about things, and sometimes play-fighting in typical Lighira fashion. Whether or not they'd taken each other as official mates was yet to be seen, however, until a bit later, when the two of them finally came of breeding age.

As was tradition for their breed, the two of them showed off for one another, in front of their families and Tribes, respectively. The ceremony mostly involved Adriel fluffing out his mane, tossing his head and letting out several loud, bellowing roars. Achlys pretended to ignore him, but then would roll on the ground, showing her belly and stretching out her legs. As the ceremony drew to a close, with Adriel cautiously approaching Achlys, the two Tribes held their breath. This was the moment they were waiting for.

Adriel pushed his muzzle forward tentatively, pausing halfway from Achlys's head, waiting for her to close the gap. She sat there for a moment, eyes narrowed, before reaching out with a paw. They feared she would smack him, but instead, she simply rested a paw on his shoulder.

"I choose you," she told him quietly, "and only for you. Not for my parents." Then, she finished the nuzzle, as a final sign that she had accepted Adriel as her mate.

Although they were born to be together, it was purely out of their own hearts that they chose to stay that way.

Could you do one for Spring? She was born into a colorless, boring family, and because of her bright colors and hyper personality, was never really accepted into her herd.
