I understand. I feel mostly the same way about the DSW. For reference: will it make a difference if it's prism philtered or not?

I would prefer if a prism filter was used on it, but if one wasn't, and I liked the way it looked enough to want the pet, it wouldn't be a deal breaker you didn't use one. I tend to go more for the way a pet looks than how high its stats are.
What about you? Will it make a difference if a prism filter is used on the DSW ryori?

Nope, it wouldn't make a difference to me. The only way it would, would be if you required it XD (and then I'd be just as happy with a replacement of the philter) Like you, I'm more interested in the looks of the pet (and that it not have certain traits that I dislike XP)

That's a big factor for me, too. I tend to be rather picky about traits at times.
