The easiest thing to do is save the puzzle, open it in paint, then copy and paste the images into the right slots.
I always assign the images numbers and solve it with numbers first, then put the images in.

Could I ask what the official stance on programs is?
I assumed them to be the same as the rest of the site in that we're supposed to solve these things ourselves but I see discussion here of people writing, using and sharing autosolvers
I've always done Sudoku manually but if using programs to solve them is now allowed and commonplace could we get confirmation so we know not to spend the hours doing it manually? (This one is a toughie)

You should be solving this manually. The entire reason of using images is to try and thwart the autosolvers. If you have seen admittance of people using them, then screenshot it and send me a PM. Anyone found cheating will be banned from ever participating in these forum games again.
If this is widespread though, then this will be the last time I do a sudoku puzzle if people are going to cheat.
