"Thanks!" She said after a moment. "I'm a light mage! See, I can do this!" She stuck her tongue out in concentration, making the most immature face anyone could have seen on a teenager. Her eyes turned a brilliant green. "See, I changed the color. The most I can hold it for is a few days right now."

She showed Laurel as well, then was turning to show the new boy who sat next to them. She smiled softly, her eyes returning to normal. "Hello."

".... . .-.. .-.. ---/ -- -.--/ -. .- -- ./ .. .../ ... -.-- .-.. ...- . .-./ .-- .... .- - .../ -.-- --- ..- .-. ...?" Sylver asked the boy who sat down next to her. She could tell he was nervous, she didn't need to see his shadow to tell that. Silver was also nervous, but it was easy to hide behind the bandanna covering the lower half of her face.

[hello, My name is sylver, what's your?]

"-. . .- -/ .. --/ .-/ -.. .- .-. -.-/ -- .- --. ./ -... ..- -/ .- .-.. .-../ ../ -.-. .- -./ -.. ---/ .. .../ .-. . .- -../ ... .... .- -.. --- .-- ..." she told Piper. Sylver could read shadows in a way, not really anything useful, just see people's names, get a general idea of what they look like if they can't be seen, see their age, and other useless information (pretty much see some of the character forums, she just asks names so she doesn't seem creepy)

[neat, I'm a dark mage but all I can do is read shadows]

Well, my entire family is light mages," she said. "So they'll also pretty much scare off any guy that I talk to if he's not a light mage." She frowned. "But with a family like that, I learn lot about light magic before I come to school."

Rick Knight

"Hello."

I turned to my head to face whoever was talking. I was surprised to find that that person was addressing me, and my face reddened very slightly out of nervousness.

"Uh... hi." I returned the smile, but it was somewhat shaky, and perhaps forced-looking. There was a clicking sound, like Morse code, and when my eyes followed the sound, they eventually rested on the face of a girl with a mask. I was confused as to why she was addressing me like that, but after a few seconds of blank staring as I collected my thoughts, I responded.

"Hello... My name is Rick." I paused for a moment, the slight smile widening a little. "I-It's nice to meet you." Unable to look for too long at either of them, my gaze returned to the floor. I could feel the tension in my body holding me in a vice grip, disallowing me to relax. I have to calm down... I can't make friends like this, and I can't be alone at school. I glanced back over at them, waiting for them to say something.

"I'm Piper! Light mage, Argi, and super glad to meet you!" She realized how loud she was, blushing madly after she finished her statement. People won't like you if you're too loud. You're pretty close to making friends with these strangers, don't blow it. She cleared her throat. "I can tell you're nervous. I am too, don't worry."

"-- -.--/ -- --- --/ .. .../ .-/ -.. .- .-. -.-/ -- .- --. ./ .-.. .. -.- ./ -- ./ " Sylver said, than told her that her father was a water mage, and her cousin was an air mage, and how her family had a very odd spectrum of mages. ".- .-.. ... ---/ - .... . .-. .../ - .... .. .../ -.-. ..- - ./ .-.. .. --. .... -/ -- .- --. ./ ../ -.- -. --- .--/ ..-. .-. --- --/ -- -.--/ --- .-.. -../ ... -.-. .... --- --- .-.." Sylver told her, her cheeks a slight pink color as she noticed him getting on the plane. "Oh hey Sylver, cool seeing you here" The boy said to her as he took his seat a few rows in front of her. ".... ../ .-. .... -.-- ..." she greeted him.

[my mom is a dark mage, just like me]
[also, there's this cute light mage I know from my old school]

"Hi Rick. I'm Laurel." Laurel peeked at Sylver and Rick, who were across the across the isle. Gathering bravery, she pushed away her straight brown hair to reveal her freckled face.

Piper grinned slyly at Sylver. "That's him, isn't it? I won't take him, and I'll make sure no light mage diva queen tries to." She turned to Rick, trying to get to know the boy better. "So... what about you? Any family of mages?"
