If I'm understanding you right, does that mean I needed 5 points spent on the skill itself... damn... how do you get that many skill points >< Shes already level 40 and only has the 8 prof points for her level. What you are implying is that you need to spend 5 on the first rank stuff (health, skills etc) then 5 MORE on the first thingy of the skill (Improved Beam in this example) before I can spend a point in Enhanced Beam?

That would put her at the level cap before you can get anything in the Enhanced Beam

No no no. You get one point for every 5 levels your pet gains. So basically at level 50, you will have 10 points that can be distributed.

Remember: The site is still in beta, and we have a LOT of content to be released. This also means a LOT of levels still to be unlocked and achieved.

But yes. Like any other skill tree on any other game, in order to unlock the "second tier," you need to spend so many points in the first tier first.

I think I get this now. You have to max out the first enhancement before you can get the rest of them along the arrows?

So by my math, if I want to fully max out the Beam skill, I need 5 points (to learn it) + 5 points (for the Improved Beam maxed out) + 2 points (for the Enhanced Beam to be learned) + 3 points (for the Advanced Beam to be learned, thereby maxing the skill) = 15 points = Level 75 to get all add-ons of the first skill.

Am I understanding this correctly?
