I'm going to resubmit my entries from the Summer 2017 contest, I hope that's okay?
Dappled Scales for Qitari, gene 2
Where each scale is fully colored a certain color Using eye color (blue in this design), color 2 (green in this design), and gene 2 (pink in this design).
I chose to do this trait because each 3 colors are seen all throughout the all of the scales on the Qitari and not bunched up in one section. I think it will be a lot of fun to design pets with this trait, as you can change the effects dramatically by making 2 of the colors exactly the same and having 1 that contrasts them, or you can choose 3 different colors for a variety of different designs. I let color 2 have the most scales because this is the color that the scales are originally without any traits, so to me it makes sense that it is the most dense.
Striped Wings for Aurleon, gene 1 or 2
I'm not that familar with Aurleon traits, but I think this would go in gene 1 or 2. Its a 2 color trait that only affects the wings. probably color 1 and gene 2?

This is what I call a Rooted Ryori Trait
I always see Ryori as something ethereal, so they need to be rooted in reality to stay around. Really, they are like vines, rapped around it. Most likely in the M1 slot. Since I saw the autumn avatar design first, I couldn't get autumn out of my head. I did green leaves, but they can of course change colour to give a feel of every season. I think Ryori are something very in touch with nature, so I think a nature themed trait would be nice for them.
(P.S. this is my first time so i hope its ok)

Excuse the terrible shading, it looked even worse plain white.

Note: Some of these I had previously drawn as 4-trait sets and have no way to divide them since all I have is Paint. Simple, simple Paint... In order to 'remove' any of the traits, it would leave an indiscernible mess where the pet was and it probably wouldn't even be a recognizable species. I'll just mark the one I want to count as the "official" entry in red and hope it still works .__.;
Beholder Nephini:
G2 or G3: Beholder Eyespots (meant to look like eyes on the wings, like this butterfly)
M1: Beholder Wings (similar to Aeri Webbed Wings and Kelpari Central Fins; Couldn't add the other wing because of Paint's limitations.)
M2: Beholder Armor (meant to look skeletal)
M3: Beholder Eyes (meant to be floating eyes)
Beholder Lunemara:
G1: Beholder Eyespots (body)
G3: Beholder Eyespots (wings - like this other awesome butterfly XD)
M1: Beholder Antenna
M3: Beholder Wings
Kitsune Ryori
G1: Kitsune Runes
M1: Kitsune Bindings (the neck beads and wrist bangles)
M2: Kitsune Wraps (the cloth bit)
M3: Kitsune Rings (the earrings)
*sorry for low quality. Getting a Ryori onto paint is a pain in the butt because of the wisp transparency.
Kitsune Zolnixi
G3: Kitsune Runes
M1: Kitsune Talismans (the floaty squares. XD)
M2: Kitsune Rings (the earrings and beads)
M3: Kitsune Wraps (the cloth)
Pierced Fins Kelpari
(ignore the neck and wrist stuff; I can't remove it without erasing the Kelpari's neck and hooves.)
Jeweled Dragon
Flame Wing Draeyl
Luffox Vine Runes
Vorpa Terror Spines
(like this fish)
Puffadore Skeletal Wings to go with the Skeletal set, with runes added for visual interest.

Lunemara M2 spider garb: its supposed to look like a bunch of spider legs curled around the lower body of the lunemara with two fang-like projections towards the shoulder area of the lune.
Chained ryori
M1: leg chains/bands
M2: floating morning star like orbs
M3. Muzzle, face markings(eye strip, ear shading and dot) and a collard that spikes down almost like a jester costume
Lagoon Monster Ny'vene
M3: Manta ray like wings-lagoon wings
M2: elongated head fins to look more aquatic with catfish like whisker-lagoon crest
Lionfish regalia sylvorpa:
based of lionfish has spiky dotted wings, spiny foot fins, sharp spines from the eyes and side of face and a chest plate with striped spikes,
DragonArmor Aurleon:
has runes(or scars),spiked leg spurs,a chest plate, segmented(spiked) neg armor, and sharp half face mask coveres lower protion of the face-may show beak though.
Steampunk Nyte:
Steampunk styled helmet/mask,back armor and collar( would like some gears but easier to draw large bolts) and segmented tail armor and wingguard with gears.
Dewdrop nephini:
Dewdrop inspired jewelry/armor. Has a dewdrop crown that looks like dew/crystals hanging from head, a banded necklace that has strings of dewdrop crystals hanging, new pattern for body and wings- wings look like they have a bunch of dew drops along upper, middle and bottom portions while the body had a series of three interlocking circles by the chest, leg and tail areas.
