1. Have you been a victim of design theft?
no
2. Have you participated in design theft?
no
3. Have you first-hand witnessed design theft?
yes
4. Have you dealt with design theft that you were not a victim of (i.e. told the designer, politely asked the thief to stop, etc.)?
I wasn't the one who noticed it, but I helped deal with it
5. What are your feelings and opinions about design theft?
It's really easy for people to steal designs and make a profit out of it by entering design contests or making copies of breeding pairs, and it's just wrong. People need to be aware that this happens and investigate further/say something if they think a design is stolen. I do breeding projects, and I don't have an infertility kit, nor do I want to spend diamonds on one since I don't spend real money on sylestia and even buying a few diamonds from other players is a huge investment. I even like my sylesti going to use for casual breeding, but I can't help but worry that every sylesti I sell from my completed projects could be used by people to imitate and sell my design.

1. Have you been a victim of design theft?
Definitely. Lots of times x-x
2. Have you participated in design theft?
Sadly, once. I didn't know what it was and I did it a long time ago when i first joined. I'm not sure of the create, but I hope the original designer will forgive me one day.
3. Have you first-hand witnessed design theft?
Yes!
4. Have you dealt with design theft that you were not a victim of (i.e. told the designer, politely asked the thief to stop, etc.)?
I generally find designs and then find the original creator after I've forgotten who was selling the designs, other wise i would have. (I tell the original creator they've had thieves though)
5. What are your feelings and opinions about design theft?
After having my designs stolen, I'm against it. I now try and deal with it immediately and am against it, but understand some people don't realise public designs may not be public (like i didn't know until later) and gently explain it to them but if that person knows I cut down on it. or.. try to. Sometimes I'm way to shy to actually tell them off, just warn them.

Thank you.
Also, for that hint, what if we make a suggestion for it to be added to the generator when you first click on it, "Please check with the creator before using public designs. Some may not be for public use" or something.

Yes, that seems like a good idea to me! Of course, some people may disagree and say that one shouldn't be putting designs on the public generator in the first place, but I know that many designers use the public generator as an interest check. And I think adding the feature would help newbies understand not to steal the design. If you do make a thread for it in the Suggestion Box, I would be happy to feature the link on this thread!

I'm not sure I have the confidence to, i'd probably mess up explaining. I'd just say add it as an overall idea just so newbies don't even steal designs from threads.

Oh, okay, that's totally understandable. ^^ Though, I'm sorry I don't understand, but what do you mean by "add it as an overall idea"?
