To be honest, I prefer Lunemaras just the way they are.
The curled bottom is very whimsical and cute to me (which is what I see Lunes as), but the proposed new version seems...too dull, I guess?

I personally prefer how it is now, but hearing people voice their opinions got me thinking. If you want the sleeker look why not make it a mutation? The same with the nose curl, I like it but if others don't than maybe think if mutations to change it. Like how Lumenara already can have mantis arms, why not go with sonething like a mosquito nose?

I like the new version better, but I would suggest lengthing the bottom slightly. Especially on the male, the abdomen doesn't clear the wing and doesn't look quite right.

I think if you also made the wings pointed at the ends it would be better with the pointed body.

That actually was the intended purpose of this originally. However, we wanted to see feedback and see just where the community is to see if there's an overwhelming majority before moving forward with the issue.

No disrespect to the artist, it looks fine, but the new abdomen looks to me like the Lune is an insectiod Christmas light.

Honestly, I just think the abdomen should be as fuzzy as the head, at least. The sleek outline look a bit... incongruous to me. Or maybe I just really like fluffy bugs.

The new, sleeker abdomen looks much better to me. I agree that it should be longer. What I would really like to see is the new abdomen, but longer and with a more cylindrical shape. IMO, Lunes still look just a tiny bit too human, and a more cylindrical abdomen would reduce the appearance of having "hips."

i like the butt curl XD but i think it would be better a little smaller? or like just a curly tuft of fur? and the nose curl has always looked a little weird to me too...

No, the new body looks more bland to me, and too short. If you looked at a bug in RL, they tend to have the longer bodies. It doesn't make sense to me to just shorten them. Perhaps keep them long, but make them thinner. I can't tell in either picture that they have been thinned, just that the curl was removed.

I personally like the curl....also don't understand why people dislike the nose-- Its one thing to portray reality, its quite another to make an exact copy of a real life creature on a fantasy game/site. I adore the lunes now, as they look quite cute.
