As you walk closer to the riddle you hear voices whispering in the dark.
You take a closer look at the riddle but something tells you to look away.
The riddle says "The more you take of me, the more you leave behind. What Am I?"
Then he
sneaks up on you and smirks " well what is your answer?"

I don't mean to seem like I'm breaking the rules or I'm a cheater or anything like that, but after quite a while of drawing a blank, I searched Google. Every single website I went to said footsteps or steps. There's really nothing else that seems plausible to be the answer. So, yeah. I'm not sure what to do here, I think you have the answer wrong.

well...
The answer makes enough sense SO I will count it.
The answer I thought of was TIME.
"Since the answer made sense I willl let you pick from the following prizes":
1) a random egg
2) a pet with your choice of species (Ferikki excluded)
3) a random scale shop item
After you choose the animal disappears and a door appears
Do you:
1) open the door
2) check out the river
3) go to the other door
4) check out the chest
5) check out the EMERGENCY bag
6) Take a rest

As you open the door it creeks slowly. A burst of fresh air hits your nose and it feels wonderful. As you get used to the bright light you start to notice where you are. There are palm trees and the ocean not to far away. As you walk on the sand you notice a square shaped stone, a piece of paper, a chest, a bag, a book, and a water bottle. In what order do you pick them up? Or do you leave them all and take a rest?
The objects:
1) Stone
2) Paper
3) Chest
4) Bag
5) Book
6) Water Bottle
or do you take a rest
