there's not really an official way to 'train' your pets, from what i've seen. but you can send your pets on mission for a few hours of the 'Town Barracks' in Esior's Haven to earn gold and experience if they succeed. you can also go to an easier area like Trollsblight or something to battle everytime an enemy shows up, if you grind* for a few hours your pets can level up and get stronger! if you still can't beat a certain enemy, make sure your team has a light healer and a attacker or tank.
a pet with the light element can help heal you team whenever they attack, recommended to be placed in your second party slot. a pet with the wind element will suit you well as an attacker, dealing a lot of damage at a single target, recommended to be placed in your first party slot.
and finally when you buy your third party slot at the 'Sanctuary of Sarielle' located in Umbra forest, attune a pet to the shadow, water, fire, or earth element to be your tank. they should be placed at the last party slot since you don't them to be immediately KO'd, because they will deal A LOT of damage, well if you train them correctly.
i hope all that stuff made sense haha, if you still need guidance feel free to ask me/message me ^^
good luck playing Sylestia!! :3

for air you should also equip them with Myrmidon Gear
light: evoker
you could also grind up some levels so your pets are stronger
i highly recommend you get a light element like Meme machine said it seems like ur team gets defeated easily
there the most effective in my opinion
if u are planing on puting another element let me know cause when i started i wrote alot of notes about the armory and the elements

I really can't do our usual long team breakdown right now but:
1- Air is a type designed purely for attack, not Tanking or support, and thus a team constructed purely of Air pets will almost undoubtedly struggle
2- Ryder's prof point is not assigned
3- Air pet's prof points should go to Strength and Dexterity
4- Air pets should always be given Myrmidon equips (we did a short breakdown of the equip types here)
5- You should probably swap one of your pets over to one of the Tanking elements (Water/Earth/Shadow/Light)- that pet should go in the first slot, as that's where enemies tend to primarily attack.

Pets heal on their own over time if not in the party so long as they have been fed (the healers are basically swindlers of unsuspecting newbies' gold) (I'm not sure if you need to manually revive them if they've been KO'd, though.)
There's a guide on ways to make gold here and a guide on how to do missions (the best way to make gold and get healing items) here.

This thread has a walkthrough of sylestia. Hopefully it will help you guys!
Also, the easiest party for beginners is an all shadow party, with only illusionist or evoker equipment!
Shadow is average at everything, but doesn't have any major weaknesses. So it is easier to make mistakes with shadow. Other teams are stronger, but each pet has a specific role, and the party can get knocked out if a pet takes on a different role for whatever reason. Also, other teams need more care with the types of equipment used, which can be hard to track for beginners.
In brief: All shadow with only evoker and illusionist gear for beginners!
Hope this simplifies things!
P.S.
Once you get used to the game and get to the second and third regions, it might make it easier to experiment with more advanced battle styles...
