Shield felt Justin fall just as the arrow soared over his head and turned on the maned wolf rearing up.
"Shield no!" Justin yelled trying to get back on his feet only to find he couldn't. Justin clutched his side and felt blood running on his hand. 'I must have fallen on my knife or sword.'
"Thank you ,Wolfie, for saving me. There is just one tiny problem; I can't get up. Where is your bond mate?" Justin inqured
The conquerors started to retreat rushing out of the town.

Storm and Heath ran over to where Kria was licking the boy, whimpering slightly. Kanei glowed for a second before disappearing. A tattoo flashed on Heath's ankle once again.

Storm crouched beside Justin. "Thank you for saving us and all..." She reached her hand out to inspect the wound. "Does it hurt bad?"

"So you're the one with the wolf I should be thanking you for saving me. To answer your question it doesn't hurt that bad I just can't get up because Shield stepped on my leg." Justin looked around "Why didn't you run when I told you two to run?"
Orin circled them and shrieked. "I'm alright Orin." Orin landed near Justin's sword and started dragging the handle over to him. "Thanks Orin."
Justin looked back at Heath and Storm "Who are you two?"

"We didn't run because they're destroying our home." Heath said, tilting his head and crossing his arms. "Why didn't you run? Why did you fight? And we should be asking you that question- so who are you?"

Storm rolled her eyes at Heath. "I'm Storm. That's Heath, and we both live around here. We're no one special, so..." She paused, then pointed at the maned wolf. "That's Kria. Heath's bear is Kanei."

"I didn't run because I'm suppose to meet someone here and I had a hunch that conquerors were nearby. I have expirence fighting so I knew I could survive this mess if there wasn't an archer but normally my partner would cover me if that happened. Thank you again for your help Kria. To answer your question Heath my name is Justin." Justin glanced back at Orin. "The osprey is Orin and the horse is Shield be careful he kicks and bites."
Shield nickered and Orin just looked at Justin.
"A little help please getting back up on Shield." Justin looked at Storm. "Nice to meet you four as well."
Orin and Shield both looked at Justin like we should going.

"Conquerors? Who? Umm, you're not leaving until you explain." Storm glared at the older boy. "Or else we're coming with you."

"Okay then help me on Shield and I will explain on the way." Justin tried to get up on his own only to fall back clutching his leg. "To appease your curiosity the conquerors are bad people fighting for control of the nectar of Nanani and the world."
A Greencloak patrol started walking into the town. Orin tried to help Justin back on his feet. "Oh no not again." Justin swung himself up on Shield wincing with pain. Just as the Greencloaks saw him.
"HEYA go Shield!" Shield took off a run.
The Greencloaks got close to Storm and Heath. "What happened here and who was that?"

Storm's eyes narrowed. Heath looked ready to summon Kanei once again. Storm spoke soon enough. "He said his name was Justin. He helped fight of the Conquerors who were attacking."

"Conquerors are you sure?" One of the Greencloaks spoke.
"Why did he run then if he was your friend?" Another Greencloak asked.
An older Greencloak started to examine the burnt houses. "This was the work of conquerors question is how did this Justin person know who they were?"
"Why don't you kids come with us back to Greenhaven we'll train you there to have better bonds with your spirit animal partners." The first Greencloak spoke.
The third Greencloak shot the first Greencloak a look. "I'm Seth the second Greencloak is Kia and the first is Jewl. You don't have to come with us if you don't want to. Just consider the offer."

Storm nodded. "We'll both come." Heath looked less sure, but after a few minutes he nodded.
