How about starry sparkles or whirls in the mist on the ryori? Right now everything is on the corporeal part, but I think it would be interesting to have something for the incorporeal.

Mine is holiday specific.. but red kinda like reindeer noses for ryori. So you can make your own version of Zero from Nightmare Before Christmas lolol

I'd honestly love to see something take the place of Nebula. I can't stand that one. Unless the colors are right for it, it may well be invisible on some pets!
Like this one. If you look really really closely you can see the bits of red on the body, but at a glance you'd probably never know.
And for a personal more specific idea, I like the thought of creeping shadow tendrils. Something a bit subtle that looks like dark ethereal shadows overtaking the ryori to make it look more... well, shadow-y and evil. And since it'd be actual 'shadows' it'd fit perfectly for a gene, rather than a mutation. It'd be awesome to see it done in the style of Nebula as well, with that bit of translucency to give it a more shadowed effect.
As for a bribe... *shifty eyes* If you do try for this one, and they approve and implement it, and it looks good on Spooky Ryoris, I'll give you a spooky offspring with the gene visible. If it doesn't go well with Spooks once it's made, I'll give you one with either Icicle Orbs or Petal Markings visible instead. Your choice of which of course. *grins*
