So much text. What's the difference between forever young and frozen or what? x:
Seeing that the picture of the hatchling is the only thing that's affected in age, along with existing in the hatchery or not, I support the use of the forever young stunted growth whatever you call it being AESTHETIC ONLY.
All functions of pets when they're aged to adolescence or adulthood should stay, that I agree with. Feed, missions, and battling with babies, I'd like. (I would hate to render stunted growth pets useless if the very reason they were stunted was because of appearance only).
I'd love to have a baby Faelora that looks super cute as a mission pet, or a 3vis project based on baby templates, or just using these baby-looking pets as if they were adults.
Tldr I like stunted growth, but I want to have adult functions for them, mainly battle/mission/feed.

I have to agree with Flute on the adult functions. The hatchlings can be the cutest-things-that-have-ever-been-found-on-the-face-of-the-earth-and-oh-my-gosh-how-cute!, but if they can't do anything an adult can do, then all they can do is take up space in your stable by sitting there looking pretty.
Being able to battle with them, do missions with them, and having to feed them will actually let us do something with them. I agree with not breeding them, though, that'd be just plain weird. Also, them taking up space, not being able to breed, and having to be fed will make people think seriously on whether they want to do it. At first I thought maybe they should be automatically sent to your stables if they were given Stunted Growth, but having to wait the regular time it would take to put them in your stables is a great idea. I'd hate to have frozen a hatchie only for it to be released automatically right away.
I don't know how well this will go over, but I was thinking of the idea of the frozen hatchling being 'locked' to your account, so to speak. That'd make sure you would freeze it because you want to, not so you could just turn around and sell it. This is just a tentatively offered idea though, so I'd like to hear what other people have to say or counterarguments.

I fully agree with Flute on the "stunted growth", or whatever, pet be able to be used for missions/battles and, especially, feeding. The only thing I was against is them being used for breeding /.\ Its just not right.aha

I agree. When I think about it, it's not really going to cause any abuse if the pet is still allowed to age, and thus still lives in the stables. It eats, can go on missions, and the idea of an exploration party made up entirely of adoribs babies is just too epic for words. XD The only thing I'm really against is the idea of keeping them in a hatchery forever and allowing them to breed. The idea of babies making more babies is just WAY too creepy. :/
I like the idea of not being able to sell babies, especially if it's a scale item. It could be the same thing as if the pet had equipment on, and you have to pay more scales to get something to undo it before you can sell it.

I think that you should be able to sell them. It could really help bring the pet economy back up to its former glory. :3 Just like how you can sell mutated pets.

I would really love to be able to keep some of my pets looking like babies. ;w;
And I agree that they should have all the same abilities as adults, minus the breeding.

Oh my gosh I totally agree with the "Stunted growth" (Or whatever...) idea. I also agree with having missions with it, battling with it, and having to feed it in your stables. Imagining my team full of little hatchlings... <3
I remember when I was new, I had a really pretty vulnyx named Crystal... It was so cute... When it grew up... BAM. Instant fierceness. I was crushed.(Then I realized it was a boy... XD)
I actually thought the hatchlings should have less HP in battle because, well... They are babies! Babies don't have as much endurance as adults or adolescents. That would limit it just a bit more.

So basically what we all want is the "baby" picture with "Adolescent" capabilities. The potion/cookie/whatever they wanted to make could freeze the picture and make it stop "aging" at adolescence. We could use them for battles/missions, but not breeding. I don't know how that would work with the auto-move to the stable (which I still think needs to happen) but yeah they could just be prepubescent pups forever and that takes care of that XD
