Someone in Region Chat pointed out that Sylvorpas have proportionately larger legs than axolotls do. However, Sylvorpas readily travel on land, while axolotls are purely aquatic. A Sylvorpa needs larger legs because, in air, it has to support its body's weight. Axolotls live out their lives nearly weightless, so the legs don't need to be very sturdy or strong in proportion.

I see. But what about the gills from the Sylvorpa? They look fairly Axolotl-ish. I'd say maybe Sylvorpas are distant relatives to Axolotls. On the Generator, I found this.
Sylvorpas, whose ancient ancestors hailed from the sea, have only been seen living on land for the past few centuries. Due to their aquatic nature, they are only seen in regions with plenty of water. Sylvorpas are nocturnal creatures, therefore they only appear in the wild during nighttime. Additionally, they only appear if it is raining, snowing, or storming.

Alright, I'll start the next question: they're currently foot tall and ten pounds of fluff (lighter than even Sylestia's one declared insect variant), what did wild Puffadores look like? (The ancestors, most likely) They seem to be the most clearly domesticated Sylesti.
The generator kind of paints them as...not a wild type.
"While other species must fight for survival in the wild, most Puffadores, throughout their entire lives, never even step foot into the wild. Because of these tendencies, they are not usually found anywhere in the wild."
"Typical owners will spend up to an hour daily grooming their Puffadore."
"Puffadores, often associated with royalty, are considered one of the most pampered and prestigious species of all Sylesties."
"Additionally, while they may not be experts in battle,"
"Due to their elegance, many Puffadores wear various ornaments and fancy accessories."
Another thing to note is that while most other species have a line or two about how their horns or armor increase their intimidation/power/protection or battle/survival capabilities, puffs just have a paragraph on how fancy and pampered they are.

Yea, they seem like they're descended from domesticated animals.
