(the 'hilt' of a pistol is the grip, if that helps you guys out description wise.
On a rifle, it's called a stock.
Was going to wait for everyone else to hop in, but I think I'm just going to get this moving along since we have the majority.
Kittyauthor, Piperlake, and Sabira can hop in whenever, doesn't matter too much
I'm also terrible with setting description too if you haven't noticed, Lark, but it's basically like a Japanese ginza type area
Tons of shops, vendors, and stuff, like an outdoor strip mall.
Uh also for every other location I have images up on the signup thread but I didn't want to make the front of this thread repulsively long for everyone since I don't know how much more I can resize those images. I can try though.
But figured I'd point it out if it helps you get an idea.)
DeHaro
(Plaza)
"Not yet. According to the info Yuu got us, we still got another 10 minutes. But.. He definitely looks like one of them to me."
He gestured to a gothic-looking man with smoke-white hair that seemed to be eyeing over the vendor. He was a lot less inconspicuous than the rest of the members and DeHaro knew of him well.. considering.. Well, Yuu would probably kill him if he talked about it.
Kiyo
(Plaza)
The white-haired man indeed seemed to be buying from a vendor as he waited for a call off Rei with any further instructions, at least until he noticed he was being watched by a man in uniform.
Kiyo stepped away from the vendor, lighting a cigarette in one hand with a stick of skewered takoyaki in the other.
He gave DeHaro a bit of a smile before walking off, knowing full well he had the Detective right where he wanted him. Neither of them were stupid enough to try to fight each other. Not here, anyways.

Mikal (Outside a caf waiting for stuff to happen)
Mikal finished his bagel, tossed the junk in the trash, then at back down and watched people walk. Careful to keep his sleeves up to his wrist, so no one saw the markings on his arms.
He fingered his collar, before remembering and leaving it alone. He couldn't let the marks show unless he wanted officers to notice him. Which he didn't. Plus he aw some officers around nearby...
Luna (Walkign around0
LUna just kept windowshopping, walking around the plaza to see what was on sale and what not.

(lol, I think I said grip? basically the only parts of gun stuff I know are barrel and safety (if it has one) and trigger. also something like slide or slide lock xD
give me a medieval weapon or martial arts terms and I got them xD)
Mel glanced at the gothic looking man. "He seems too smug for my liking." She noted as she watched him walk away. "Any guess to what they are planning?" She said as she examined all the civillians paying close attention to see if any of them had markings.

(Yeah, I was clarifying. :p
Having a hilt on a gun would be cool if super impractical tbh
All I can think of is like.. gunblades.
Also cool, but impractical.
I'm pretty good with swords and guns and their mechanics but I'm totally lost with martial arts.
Lemme know if I'm moving things too fast at all btw.
I want stuff to 'happen' to start to build up the conflict and get people roped in, but I don't want anything major to happen right off the bat. But I'm intentionally being vague for now.)
DeHaro
(Central Plaza)
DeHaro gave Mikal a bit of a friendly smile as he passed by, deadset on following Kiyo from a distance so he didn't lose sight of him. He didn't even seem to acknowledge Mel in his focus.
This man was definitely up to something, he could read it all over his face.
Miko, noticing that DeHaro seemed unusually high tempo in his steps and didn't even seem to be waiting for the other officers tailed behind him.
"What's gotten into you?" She whispered up at him.
"Mimi, I'll tell you how I know later. Harvard and Mel can catch up.. But that's our guy."
"Seriously? Is this another tip from Yuuyuu? I mean.. He looks a little off but.. Last I heard, they didn't have anyone like that in their command." She shook her head, still trying to keep her voice down. "Come to think of it.."
"Something like that. Just.. shh. He's doing something." He stopped behind a wall as Kiyo seemed to enter a central area of the plaza. It was much less populated due to the superstitions about it and even some of the former shopkeepers had abandoned the area in the previous years, leaving nothing more than a few brave mom and pop shops still standing alongside abandoned buildings.
He knew this area well and gripped his shoulder, almost in remembrance.
Kiyo
(Central Plaza)
Kiyo had kept his cigarette in hand as he walked, munching on the takoyaki, well aware the cops had tailed him.
He had found his way into the central plaza, pulling a blinking device from his pocket and holding it out for the two Detectives to see with a button over its center pressed down.
Well, if they wanted a show, he'd sure oblige.
"Dear Detectives." He threw the skewer aside. "I think you've stuck your noses in our business long enough."
Two daggers formed from smoke erupted from his cigarette trail, hovering in the air alongside him.
"Know that I get no joy out of this, but if your lives are the cost this city must pay for the rest of us to no longer live as rats, so be it."
A rippled energy seemed to emerge out from the device in his hand, barely more perceptable than waves of heat, but it made the air feel heavy around them.

Valia Allendrik
location : plaza
Passing near the takoyaki shop Valia froze when she notice the officer, not because she had done anything wrong per say but simply because the marking on her wrist wasn't concealed. And of course, to make matter worst, the gray haired guy that was there decided to shamelessly use his powers . She took a few step back at the sigh, trying to hide in the shadow, all while mentaly cursing herself for being so careless.

Liam Murphy Plaza
Liam scribbled on the notepad in his hands trying desperately to capture the essence of his subject. His pencil traveled over the body, and Liam looked up at a small chirp. The bird was hoping off, probably keen on flying away soon. Ah, I have to hurry! Taking another hard look at it, Liam moved to fill in the details before it left.
Odessa Barrington Plaza
Odessa wandered in the plaza, attempting to look busy as she browsed the shops. Nothing seemed quite as interesting though, as how many Salvation Silence people were here. She wasn't blind to it. They had an objective, she knew.
What was that?
A weird energy surged through the air, tingling in her senses. It wasn't from the clouds - that would've been her own doing. This was different.

Mikal glanced up and nodded at the officers. He looked pretty normal to them, he knew that. THat was good....for him.
FOr now.
He winced as he felt his senses tingling at the energy from nearby. He quickly checked his sleves and pants and collar wer all up (ro down, depending on which). Whoever was being careless.....This wasn't the time for it. IT was better to go about your work quietly, shove suspicion away from you, and then go for the catch while no one was looking to disturb you.
Luna shivered. She noticed Mikal at one of the tables outside a caf but ignored him, crossing to the other side of the plaza and almost running into Odessa. "Sorry!" SHe said, dodging around and going on her way.

(Imma toss Reirei in now.)
Rei -Rateways-
Rei was getting impatient rather quickly. She had dispatched a good number of her crew to investigate the 'Impulse' a while ago. If they were empty handed for too much longer, she would just have to figure it out herself. Rose decided to check in on the dispatched members, eager to hear how the mission was going.
"Barrington, Yamada, Sky, Lilybud, and Kuroda, I want a sound off and report Immediately. I want to know why I haven't heard from you all yet. This had better be good."
She had asked via ear pieces she had given them before they left, just to ensure communication wouldn't be a problem. They better be making progress. She wanted that energy source and was in no mood to tolerate failure. Rei began to put on her bullet proof vest, preparing to leave should she be needed.

Leah Yamada | Plaza
Leah instinctively scooted farther back into the shadows at the sight of the officers approaching, although it was probably unnecessary.
It's not a game of hide and seek if they're not looking for you.
She would watch for now, no use getting her knives dirty unless it was necessary, and it was enough to cut through the monotony of waiting.
She pouted as Rei's voice came in through her ear, interrupting. Asking about their progress and whatnot.
"Haven't found a thing," she drawled. No doubt their leader wouldn't be happy about the utter lack of... anything here, but it was her fault for sending them on what was looking to be a wild-goose chase.
She opened her mouth again, then closed it. Kiyoshi could tell their leader himself about his decision to engage.
Harvard Lee | Plaza
Harvard sighed. "Nope. I don't think they'd be stupid enough to come here in the middle of the day, with so many civilians around, unless it was for something really important. So far, there's nothing here, and I haven't heard anything from the others. Still prepared, though."

Mel frowned. "I was chatting with DeHaro a while ago, he seemed to recognize someone from the salvation silence. Well he said "he definitely looks like one of them to me."" Mel said, the last part in DeHaro's voice. She frowned, "stupid ability." she muttered under her breath.
