Here's my one, based of the beautiful tree in my garden, the Magnolia

I based my design on those spring days where half of the sky is blue with fluffy white clouds and the other half is full of dark, stormy clouds. We have been getting a lot of those recently where I live.

Spring has come so late in Michigan..... Spring for me is always about flowers! I love watching the flowers start to bloom every year! So many colors and textures! My Aeridini was based on this picture:

Finally finished this design, took me forever to pick an inspiration, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

A Twisted Night


My inspiration....
Here in my part of Colorado we have a saying, 'if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes'. My design is about the nights here during the spring. Some parts of the sky are clear and starry, while in others it's raining with lightning. It looks a lot like this. I've always loved that about my state.

It is loosely based on this bird:


The feathered wings and the jewelled feathers represent the birds wings and flight. I chose the glitter dust gene because I like it and it shows the varying shades of blue on the bird.

There was no specific inspiration. I just wanted to make a Sylestia with pretty spring colors of flowers. =)
