I've handed out a lot of avatar items from previous fests that were hard to get even then and have had people ToTing me specifically *for* avatar items. I get the reason for restricting I just find it really sad and don't know how to fix it to stop worthless pieces being given while still allowing us to gift people with items they can't get themselves at this time (other than setting up a forum and doing it manually, but that won't count toward the 250 items given out during ToTing, which I was coming up to)

I'm sure I'll keep adjusting it as time goes on.

I actually just adjusted it to now include the previous year's as well.

That's sad to hear, was hoping to give really new users older avatar items... but I don't have much that recent :(

Alright. So I went ahead and now also added an exception for any Avatar Item to be handed out as long as it is at or above Epic Quality (this is in addition to the other clauses previously stated).

Question Krin, when getting the contest pouches for fighting (1000 pts), if you trade out teams does your points reset? Or is there a set of points for each team or type of pet (Griffi, Zolnixi, etc)? Or does the points add to the 1000 which ever team or pet you use?

Points are tallied by each contest, so it doesn't matter which pets you use outside of whatever species they are.

Ok, just to be sure, if I switch from my Griffi to my Zolnixi team, the points for the Griffi stay on the Griffi? And if I switch back, then they would accumulate from where I left off?

Correct.

Each enemy you defeat in the Umbra's Veil, you gain 1 point per species of the pets in your Party. So if you're using all 3 Griffi's, you'd gain 3 points per enemy defeated.

Those points will remain until the Contest is over and the next Round begins.

You can switch to 3 Zolnixis, use 1 Griffi, 1 Zolnixi, and 1 Bulbori, etc, etc.

It's just all cumulative. Only resets when the Round ends.

I totally understand about the updates, but I would still like to point out that I was absolutely thrilled when someone gave me Gnarled Vines when I Trick or Treated them because I had been wanting it so bad and had no idea where to get it and couldn't afford the ones that were on the Broker at the time (I think this was a couple of years ago) (it wasn't until last year that I found where to get them). I just wanted to let you know that sometimes they can be an awesome surprise. ^_^ And what do you mean Zombie Arms are spam items?! D: It took me forever to get my Zombie Arms, and just recently for the last one! :[ Are you guys just like mad machines or something? xD (I think I might still not have all of the Zombie Arms... <_< ) Maybe a "block 'spam' items" option or something? XD Or maybe even one more exception of "or if the item is not in the person's Wardrobe" for the littler items? OuO (I know something knows whether or not things are in our Wardrobe because when I try to use items I already have in there, it tells me so... xD But I don't know how difficult or complicated that would be...)

Anyway, I just wanted to bring that up because I'd hate to deprive anyone of that same kind of experience I had if it was possible. *u* But I understand if it's not. n_n

Yea. I mean, I don't think it's possible to have a perfect solution. Just doing what I think is overall the best.

And unfortunately, the Task List kinda increased the issue of people giving each other 'junk' items just to fulfill the Task List, which is not what I want people doing.

I'm sure I'll try to think of better solutions as times goes on. I think what it's set to now works for almost all situations. And for those who are looking for those Gnarled Vines and Zombie Arms, I am sure you can find others willing to sell some of theirs in the meantime. =P
