Do you prefer designs to show male and female with the same traits or that they each have different ones? I've seen people do it both ways just want to know what you like better.

Either works. You are allowed to show male/female versions if you want and some do so to take advantage of showing different trait combinations - all of which is totally okay to do. But no more than that (max 1 male, max 1 female per design).

Biggest thing that helps is to just add the &size=250 to each URL to keep the sizes of all the images smaller and uniform.
