I noticed a common theme across a lot of my favourite tropical fish that come to mind when I think of tropical fish, and that was the colours blue, gold, and cyan. So, my tropical fish Sylesti is based off of those colours so that it can represent a wide variety of my favourite tropical fish, such as Blue Tang, Thorn-Tailed Fish, Peacock Cichlid, German Blue Ram, Mandarin Goby, Queen Angelfish, and a bunch of others I don't know the name of. And also, specifically, the photoart "Vibrant Tropical Fish Discus 20170910 Square" by Wingsdomain Art and Photography. That is pretty much exactly what I think of when I think "tropical fish". ^D^ <3 (Cichlids seem to be a large portion of these favourite fish... >w> )
Also when I think of tropical fish, I think of Summer and when I think of Summer, I think of Lighira (even outside of Sylestia because that is how much Sylestia has affected me xD ). ^D^ So of course my tropical fish Sylesti is a Lighira. <3
