I laugh, out loud, accidentally. 'Because if I didn't the story wouldn't have been so interesting!'
"What's so funny?" Andes cocks his head at me.
"Oh, nothing, Kody's just a funny guy. That's part of the reason we're friends!" I grin at him.

"I'll check the lake you showed me earlier first. If I catch her I catch Blaze." he replies. (I don't want to ruin this for you so I'd rather have you decide if he finds and catched her or not.)

(As I had Andes say earlier if she goes into water it's like she was never there... so she won't be hiding yet ;) )
When Kody gets close enough, he sees Brook lapping up large amounts of water from the lake. He hears her mutter something like, "Stupid Blaze... High and mighty... Me, his leader! ... I'll show him..." He also smells something, something burning. But not a wood-burn smell, something different.

"I spotted Brook and I smell something burning but it's a weird smell... maybe Blaze..." he updates you through the mind link. He uses his lightning lava wolf form to move at the speed of lightning while Brook is distracted.

(Move where? Towards Brook?)

(yeah he's trying to sneak up on her while she's busy.)

As Kody moves, he begins to see Brook's right side. There is a long burn, at least a second-degree, probably third. It runs from her face to her hind leg. She drinks more, and as she does her fur turns to a watery like substance and flows over the burn, narrowing it slightly. Brook winces and her mouth opens as if she wants to scream, but she can't. She begins to enter the lake, her entire body turning watery. As soon as the water touches the burn, she leaps out and turns back to normal. Brook looks at the injury with an expression of rage.

He stands behind her and she doesn't seem to notice because she is so focused on her injury. He says nothing as he closes the small distance between them.

She looks around but somehow seems to miss Kody. She spots something through the trees and runs the opposite direction, to another area of the lake's shore. As (that is, if) she passes Kody, he hears her whisper, "No, Blaze, please stop..."

"What the- was it an announcement?" he mutters to himself quickly following after her.
